SHeur 4. LT Trojan Horse

Hi folks,

My AVG 10.0.1392 (free) just notified me I have the SHeur 4. LT on my X-P box. I keep my X-P updated faithfully, but somehow I now have it. I Googled all the removal methods, they sounded way above my skill level. Can I leave the Trojan Horse in the virus vault without it causing any problems? If not, do any of you folks have a suggestion as to what program I need to get it removed?

Once again, thanks for all the great help.

Steve

If AVG moved it to the Virus vault then there's nothing to worry about. The Virus Vault isolates the file from the computer, renames the file so it can't reinfect the machine.

As a follow up run a Malwarebytes scan, SuperAntiSpyware scan and a Temp file cleaner such as TFC.

    zep,
    Thanks for the response.
Both Trojans are in the virus vault. Under the Original Name, it shows N/A. I got a Mutiple Threat Dection earlier from AVG, I clicked on Remove all Unhealed, then it said the action was unsuccesful. Object does not exist or is inaccessible.
I ran AVG again, still in the Virus Vault. I ran Malwarebytes and it shows nothing either.
Looks like I am good to go.
    Thanks again,
    Steve
