I have a mudroom/laundry. office and pantry combination. No cubbies as there are no children in the home. Kitchen on one end, garage entrance on others. We have hooks just outside in garage for wet clothes and a shoe rack also. Desk side. Coat closet, desk area. Cabinets above house vases, holiday glassware, cookbooks, and one with batteries, flashlights and misc. File drawers and desk drawer. The big one on the far end holds large bag of dog food and other dog items. Not in picture but located left of coat closet is my drying closet for drying sweaters and things that don't go in the dryer. Louvered doors and there is wiring for a heater/fan combo but we didn't put it in. The heated floors seem to do the job nicely. Sink W/D side. on the far end left is floor to ceiling pantry with slideout drawers inside.Next upper cabinet holds misc kitchen gadgets that are not used to often. Other side of sink upper has detergent and other laundry needs as well as cleaning supplies. Small cabinet up above that holds some tall vases. Then comes stacked W/D with a small cabinet above that has kerosene lamps and other seldom used items. Below counter left of sink drawers with candles and other small holiday deco in top drawer, second drawer down is husbands snack drawer, 3rd drawer has some kitchen pans and other weird shaped things in it. Second set of drawers has tablecloths and placemats in top drawer, extra plastic wrap, paper towels etc in 2nd drawer, various small kitchen appliances in bottom drawer. Cleaning supplies under sink. Next top drawer and second drawer holds small household tools and other such items. Next top drawer has paper goods and misc. Two bottom drawers just misc stuff.

I would prefer to have the doors and individual lockers with a decent seat in front so people can actually sit down in front to tie laces, put on boots..... Open lockers look messy in a real home, doors keep it cleaner. But also many kids want life quick and easy and may just drop things on the floor instead of opening locker doors. Doors also add to cost, and here they are expensive, it would be several thousand to do the built-ins in your inspiration picture. So cost.... really factors in on what to do. These are our new built-ins in our new home. I cheaped out due to the cost of the whole house build adding up and put in the standard lockers. I wish we would of spent more for the added expense of adding the side walls to each locker. In our previous build, we had side walls to each locker, one double hook at the back wall higher up and two lower double hooks lower on each side. Making each locker a six hook instead of the only the double on the open lockers. Back hooks for jackets, side hooks for backpacks.... So much better and functional to add the side walls. We still might down the road but our children are getting older, but if I had young children in a long snowy winter environment, it would of been a must. My favorite paint colors are Behr Honey Infusion, Behr Honied White and Behr Yucca White. Honey Infusion is a great yellow based neutral which worked to lighten up a red and brown guest room. Honied white was used after the walls were painted with Killz twice to lighten up a bedroom in med blue and puke green. Yucca White was used on the master bedroom gray headboard wall after it had been Killz.

Hello althom1 , Nice job on the hand drawing - it's where all the greats started! Quick question first; Can you not go from the utility room directly to the office? I see no door & you asked for suggestions - but are they the same floor level? At a glance it seems you have enough space to fit your full program in. Generally you'd want to keep the loud stuff (washer) as far as possible from the doors to the rest of the house. You'd also want your utility stuffs (vacuum, etc.) closer to the kitchen entry - where you may need them most. 22" deep is plenty for a row of vertical storage (Ikea if you're on a budget) that can house some of that stuff & keep the rest of the place open.
