Okay...Call me crazy..buuut...my plan (which started about 3yrs ago...) is to mosaic with broken toilet/sink shards...they're porceline so weatherproof, and those old ones come in allll kinds of colors!!! I have potato sacks of yellow,mauve,blue,green shards and am planning on making a royal "Throne" chair of the likes of Cait's bench!!! I dragged all this &^%$ home one day when I went to my fav eco wood store and they were closing down and had to get rid of everything, so were smashing tiolets and sinks to make more room in the garbage bin...well, I looked at all those beautiful colors together in that bin and asked if I could take some...after taking my pulse and asking me how many fingers he was holding up....he let me have atter!!! let me give you my experience with no shut offs under a sink. last year i changed out the kitchen faucet because the old one was worn out. i shut off the main water to the house since the only 2 shutoffs under the sink supplied only the dishwasher and the refrigerator! in removing the old faucet the flexible copper supply line from teh wall to the faucet broke. no big deal, i will just pick up another one. since my wife was going to the store, i sent the line with her while i finished everything else. she calls and no one can find a line like that, but they had a plastic one. i told her i did not care if it was plastic, i just had to have a line. she brings it back, and it is a 1/2 supply line. i look at the wall and i have a 5/8 gas nipple on the cold water pipe! the original owner had used what he had on had to replace the ruptured line at some point, and taken off the shut offs and put on gas nipples. i had to cut these off as they had fully rusted in place, then rethread the 1/2 pipe so i could install shutoff valves. this had to be done THAT NIGHT, and since it was Sunday and 6 pm, i had 1 hour to go buy what i needed or be out of water until the next day since i could not turn the main back on with an open 1/2 pipe. if i had a shut off there in teh first place, all i would have had to do was turn it off and the rest of the f=house would have been fine. put them on. you don't have to do them all at once, change out 1 or 2 at a time until done.

Hi Cynic...Meet Caroline!! I had a 4 1/2lb. Fox Terrier/Chihuahua mix, Susie, with me for 12 years. One of the purest joys of her life was jumping up, digging on the TP roll to unroll it, and then grabbing a mouthful, so she could gleefully run down the hallway, into the living room, and then the kitchen. When the long streamer would snag and break, she'd start the whole process over again, I finally installed a higher shelf to hold the rolls. Once in a great while I would put a roll on the original holder since it brought her so much joy. She only unrolled the paper in the main bath. She never bothered the paper in the master bath. And now you "know someone who has seen it!"

Thanks to everyone for all the comments. I truly believe that I have clogged roof vents. Won't know for sure until I get someone to snake them and see if it takes care of the problem. The plumber that just came out told me that he thinks I have a cracked/broken pipe and that he would return when his camera is working so he can scope it out. I honestly do not believe that I do and I'll find out if my theory is correct once I've had the vents cleared. I will only pay for him to "diagnose" as a last resort. From what I've learned doing research and speaking to people with the same issue, the most probable cause is a clog. Also, the plumber did change the wax seal but that didn't stop the water from coming up. Will be replacing it again when my issue is resolved cause water has been coming up through that wax seal. I'll definitely update when I resolve issue. Hope my experience can help someone else.
