Recessed Medicine Cabinet - framed or frameless
Comments (5)We have three frameless, recessed Robern med cabs, and are very happy with all three. We have 3 1/2-4" deep models in the guest bathroom and hall bathroom, and a 6" deep model in the MB. Our bathrooms are small as well (MB is the smallest, go figure!), so storage space was a concern for us as well. I love my 6" med cab--can fit a lot in there! Ours all have flat mirrors, because that was our preference. I think you would be fine with whichever one you choose--I don't think there is a hard and fast rule which type of mirror you can use with a traditional or contemporary or ultra modern bathroom. I've seen bathrooms of all types using a wide range of med cab styles and none ever looked out-of-place to me....See MoreIs Robern Worth It?
Comments (71)myricarchitect - Thank you for your response. So, you used the SIDLER Tall cabinet over your sinks then. It is this one: https://www.sidler-international.com/collections/tall-mirrored-medicine-cabinet/ Yes, this collection is one of our non-electrical cabinets. There are other options we have with electrical and lighting, which we can customize the sizing. And yes, we would love some pictures of how it turned out. Thank you! I will private message you. Do you also have an IG page as well? Yes, I know about the Robern Uplift. We have the SIDLER Sidelight, which has a thinner door that lifts up, but our cabinet runs on a different tracking system (counter balanced) and when the door lifts up, the light still stays intact within the cabinet itself. So, there are some differences. I will private message you. Thank you again....See MoreMedicine cabinet with bevel
Comments (3)I have a Kohler recessed medicine cabinet with bevel *and* a framed beveled mirror nearby. It has never occurred to me that two or more beveled items could ever be wrong....See MoreRobern bryn mawr medicine cabinet: anything similar for less?
Comments (15)Just wanted to follow up. I ordered the Pottery Barn Kensington. I got it on sale 20% off and free shipping, so something like $350 (?) compared to the Robern that I think was $1100 or maybe more. Crazy. It’s not installed yet but it’s on sight and it looks nice. Thanks so much everyone. @Diana Bier Thanks for your help....See MoreRelated Professionals
