The builder depot Carrera Marble sample tiles
Comments (8)I just installed the Carrera Venato 1 inch hex on my bathroom floor. I got 55 sf and shipping really wasn't that much. I am very happy with the service from Builders Depot Direct, Dave was fantastic and answered emails promptly if I had questions. My tile came very fast and not one piece was damaged. From Bathroom Renovation WIld Ink Press Blog used the Carrerra Venato Subway in her shower, along with hex and 1 inch mosaic on shower floor. Here is the link so you can check it out. Good Luck! Comments (9)Mine is venatino. I was told they come from the same quarry but are classified by appearance. The background of the venatino is whiter where the background of carrera is more grey. My slab has a mix of spots and finer dark veins with some more subtle broader ones. They reminded me of ink squiggles and blots on old parchment. I thought of da Vinci and I was sold. And in the end, that's really what matters -- finding a look that is special to you. Comments (4)there are grout sealants you can apply, but first you have to get rid of the mold. Baking soda won't hurt marble....nor will it kill the mold. Vinegar will etch marble...as will any of the "scrubbing bubbles" cleaners. I suggest after a toothbrush cleaning you address the ventilation in the shower...does the door go to the top? can you leave the door open between showers? Perhaps a steam cleaner will kill the mold....and it won't hurt your shower....See Morebill_vincent
