After 12 years of dial up service I have finally moved into the 21st century and have ATT wi-fi service. It is wonderful. For the first time I can watch videos and YOU TUBE is a favorite for tutorials. But I need to know...how much KB'S or MB'S would an 8 minute song use? Or an 8 minute video? I am limited to 4GB'S per month or pay an extra fee.
What would be better for you would be to visit the AT&T site and find where you can view your internet useage to give you a much better idea.
Before I posted this message this thread was 39kbs in size which you have downloaded to view. Every site you visit is a download. When you upload a search query in Youtube or Google that too counts on your monthly allowance.
By keeping a close watch for a couple of months you might find it cheaper to pay for the next higher service offered - or you may find you are comfortable with with you now have.
I have similar service from Verizon, and the allowance doesn't go very far. I don't watch movies nor do I stream music, but I go over my allowance almost every month and pay and extra $10. So it is an expensive way of connecting to the Internet. Believe me, if there were any other option for me, I'd take it. Of course, I'm still in the middle of a two year contract, so that would be costly. It's so sad that so many of us do not have access to reasonably priced broadband service.
