Show me your hex-tile floors and tell me your grout color please!
Comments (8)Hi Bill, I have seen mention of this Mapei on other threads and did a google search and came up with a lot of foreign-language links. Who makes it? Or better yet, can you give me a link to a website? (Also, I sent you an email - did you get it? I noticed another tile installation disaster today. Our Master Bath floor has been covered for protection until today when part of it was exposed while the double vanity was installed. The large 16" square honed Calcutta Gold tiles are not centered on any of the walls, so there are really off grout lines at the center of the vanity. It is really obvious and when I think about it I literally want to cry :( . This is our forever house and everywhere I turn, a tile job is done badly. I could really use a good referal!)...See MoreShow me your wet bar/dry bar/beverage center, please!
Comments (4)here's our dry bar. it connects the kitchen to formal dining room. this pic was taken before the outlet covers and wine glass holder were attached! the cabinets below have pullouts that hold all the alcohol and mixers. uppers hold all of our glassware and crystal. beverage fridge is a Kitchenaid. opposite the bar is our large walk-in pantry....See MorePlease show me or tell me about your favorite
Comments (5)jxbrown, fwiw, I bought a bunch of those to put on my oven racks. Yes, they do work...but they were a PAIN! I could no longer slide things on/off the shelf. I found them to be impractical...jmho!!! I don't care for mitts, either. Or the silicone pad. I just like the good old-fashioned terry cloth pot holder. I bought some newer quilted ones (not terry) that won't bend easily enough to grip the pan! LOL! I'm always on the search for terry cloth potholders. I must be in the minority since I have a hard time finding them. Here is a link that might be useful: This one is round, but it's the texture I like...See MoreShow me your bar stools! PLEASE!
Comments (26)My first criterion for choosing stools was comfort, sturdiness, and good back support as I sit on them while doing my major prep. Then they had to "make a statement" and work with the rest of the kitchen visually. I believe they were about $290 each online; they list at about $500. (I don't know if I ever told DH what I paid, but my machinist BIL was very impressed with their quality, so he may actually have a clue!)
