rotating video from IPhone

Hello All,

Someone sent me a video from their IPhone, but when I tried to view the video, it's on it's side. I assumed it was coming through on Windows media but now that I look at it I see it says "Img_1992.mov(5MB). Goes on to say file not viewable since I don't have a previewer installed. Sort of answers my question, doesn't it---but I can view it I think through my Windows Media, but, as I said, it's on it's side. Question is, can I rotate this, and if not where do I get the previewer?

Apple uses Quicktime player not Windows Media Player. You will need Quicktime player or another player that is compatible with .mov format.

I purchased an app on my iphone called camera+ by taptaptap. Check it out I think it does most of what youre looking for. (excuse typing, just had joint reconstruction on my thumb)

My Canon camera records videos in .mov format and Windows media player plays them.

Thanks all for your replies, and thanks zep516 for the link. I'll look at that this evening. Maybe this can be fixed. Actually Windows Media played the IPhone video beautifully except it was on its side.
