I think anyone of them would work.
I use JetAudio which is a player, but can also convert.
Second blue button on the left of the bottom taskbar.
Select the source file for input and the output format.

I will look into JetAudio. I have Audacity, but it won't accept wma files. Music Match won't convert wma files either.

There is a little program that is free and it is a small file. You can change the extension of files to mp3 or any other you wish. It is called Extension Changer.

Thanks ceebee...I will also give that a try.. JetAudio won't let me them convert to MP3...what I have been doing is playing the songs in media player while recording with Audacity, then saving as mp3. Works, but would just like to do the one step.

I've been using JetAudio for several years now and have never had any problem converting from any format to any other format. It will even convert to some formats I've never heard of. The plus version even works well with video files. Just click on "convert" at the top of the program, then go down to the "output format" window and click on the arrow there to select the format you want to convert to. You can even configure the output file and save it wherever you choose.

I have JetAudio 7.0.3.3016 and the there is no mp3 output. All I have is APE, FLAC, MPC, OGG, ReadMedia,Spee-Speex Encoder, WAV, WMA Audio 7, and WMA Audio 9. Everytime I try to select one of my WMAs that I have purchased from Music Match I get a message "Check if the file is DRM Protected. jetaudio does not convert/burn DRM protected files:

Wonder why MP3 is not one of the output choices.

I have the same version. It does show mp3 for me.
It must be because the file is DRM Protected.

Another way that may work is while the song is open in Windows Media Player, click file and Save As, at the end of file name put .mp3
*note the dot before mp3

I just did that with a .wma file and put .mp3 at the end of song name and it saved as .mp3

I just downloaded and installed the free basic version and jean mi is right, it doesn't show mp3. My plus version shows what you have randy but not the basic version. I Googled and found the free program below. Easy download and install and works fine, if a little slow.
