Seaching Bookmarks

Maybe I am missing it so forgive me but is there a way that I can search within all my bookmarks for a specific item. I have a ton of bookmarks and some times I would like to search it for a past saved site etc.

Thanks

Which browser are you using? In Firefox, the Search Bookmarks tool is located in Organize Bookmarks.

I feel for you Big Al. I used to have so many bookmarks it simply got out of hand. Then I deleted vast amounts and keep just a few important/good ones. Then I allow Google to help me find suitable sites for my queries. It might not be pretty but it works for me

Here's baldo's reply... Hay Evie: Where are you located? No, it is not a lady beetle in the seach for something to eat like aphids. The beetle is a leaf beetle, a plant feeder, but I cannot tell you which one without more information or the actual specimens. This is not a regular pest on roses. It is probably a general feeder that likes to chomp on petals/foliage of many plants. Unless I see damage by the beetle, I would just let it be and let it enjoy life. Baldo

I'm sorry, I don't remember that thread. But I can tell you that the search function here is horrible, and it works far better to use Google and search for the keywords, and include garden web in the search words. Good luck!

I am so happy to hear that I am not the only one, besides DSIL who was expecting a better movie. We were sadly disappointed. I have watched SATC 1 so many times I could probably recite the entire script. DH just shakes his head. No newdawn, it's not just you. The costuming was ridiculous. The characters changed clothes so many times it felt like an ad for the designer clothing industry. Do you know anyone who hangs out around the house in the type of "gown" Carrie had on in one of the last scenes whilst watching TV at home with Big? I don't. I live in sweats and t-shirts in the winter and cotton shorts and t-shirts in the summer while watching TV with my "Big". The set decorating was one of the only redeeming factors IMHO. Now, DSIL, who is not at all interested in decorating didn't even get that bonus! However, DD and her BGF went and absolutely loved the movie. Thought it was better than SATC 1. DSIL and I have chalked it up to the generational difference between us and DD and her BGF. Also, did think the movie was waaay too long.

http://www.sew4less.com/QuickSearch.php try here - I have never dealt with this company - I had them bookmarked for parts for my 37 yr old Pfaff. I have a White 7324DW - there is a printed diagram for threading the machine on the flip down case on the front. Maybe you have a small pic someplace also. Hope this helps you.

in firefox you would go to bookmarks then organize bookmarks then in the top you will see a search bar you enter your search term in, it works great.
there is a little add on for IE that makes that task easy
Search Your Internet Explorer Favorites From Within IE in Vista or XP

also if you happen to use xmarks which I highly recommend and use it also has a search feature.

since you did not mention your version of windows I will include this one also
Create a Shortcut to Search Your IE Favorites With Windows 7 or Vista Search

Here is a link that might be useful: xmarks

Many people get overwhelmed by bookmarks because they just keep adding them without any organization. I'm online a lot and go to dozens of sites every day. I easily have over 1000 bookmarks in Firefox, but there are easy ways to not get overwhelmed. I simply create lots of folders and use the alphabetize feature to keep both the folders and their contents organized. I also place most of the bookmarks that I use every day on the toolbar or (in folders on the toolbar). If I have a folder that has a lot of bookmarks, I may change the titles of the most important ones by placing a "1" in front of the names so they show up at the top when I alphabetize. Every couple of months I go through the bookmarks and delete ones that I don't need any more. And I always make a backup copy of the bookmarks that I keep on a thumb drive so I don't lose them if my hard drive dies.
