There is an electronics forum, not sure what it covers, but you might check it out. It's listed on the GW's home page.

I think a standalone forum for cell phones is a great idea. There aren't any really good alternates here on GW. EmmaR's suggestion is probably the best default choice, but it's not a very active forum. Sometimes people post questions about cell phones in the Kitchen Table forum, but that's more a general discussion forum that does not seem to be frequented much by tech savvy members. My suggestion is that you send an email to the GW webmaster proposing this (click on "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page).

have you tried with a different browser on your cell phone? I have several browsers I use on my phone, firefox, opera mini, and dolphin HD, all are very good but some work better for some things than others. For GW I often use firefox since I can add on adblock plus and easylist which helps block a lot of the ads that make it almost impossible when on a cell phone sized screen. So you may want to try that they are all free and will install in seconds, it you decide you don't want them just go to manage applications and uninstall it. Your phone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread so all of those browsers should be easily available to you from the market. you might also go into your browser settings on the phone and clear all the cache and cookies and stuff see if that might help. To do that on the phone open your browser window then click on your menu button then on the more option , then settings scroll through there to find the cache, cookie, history form data etc try clearing all that it might have saved a corrupt cookie or something.

If his cellphone has a removeable memory card, just take it out of the phone (be sure the phone is turned off first, as it can be adversely affected if any of the phone's applications are accessing anything from the card when you remove it while it's on). Put the memory card into a card reader, which should connect to the computer via a USB cable. The memory card will be shown as another drive when you look at "My Computer." You can transfer files onto it the same way you'd transfer files from one folder to another on the C: drive.

We've had a couple of Nokia cell phones for several years through TracFone. We decided to go with the Motorola W376g phones because it is hearing air compatible, plus my wife wanted a new phone. Using the TracFone web site, transferring the minutes and telephone number from the first one went fairly smooth and it took just a few minutes before the new phone was working. Trying to do it with the second phone has been a problem and after 3 days is still not working. They first told me it would take 24 to 48 hours for the transfer to take place. and then they said it would take up to 10 days. I've tried calling them but with my hearing problem it's almost impossible to understand their overseas Service Representatives. So I've been dealing with them by e-mail. It cost $49.99 is supposed to have "double minutes for the life of the phone upon activation."

Is it an android phone? If so I know a good android forum I have been using. Also most of the major carriers have forums for questions about their phones. I know T-Mobile, Verizon and and AT&T have forums on their sites, not sure about sprint. Mary
