Personally this would be the deal breaker for me
2 GHz Intel Celeron processor 550
celeron processors are just not near top of the line in fact they are pretty far down there. I don't know why they even still make them.
It does have xp on it instead of vista which is a plus.

as to the s-video I have no idea actually I could not find much info on the model other than what was there on the walmart site about it.

no one will be able to tell you if its a good deal unless you say what you want to use it for. I am with Ravencajun in that Celerons are the bottom of the bottom of the pocessor pile and not much good for anything

Looking at Dell 1525 specs
They have 1 S-video, plus hdmi, vga, and firewire.
4 USB's, 2 usb each right and left sides of case.

Celeron M was/is a pretty good laptop procesor in my opinion. But dual core's are so much nicer, even whe slower they're faster - its a shame not to have one in a new purchase.
