Need help with small bathroom layout
Comments (7)I'm planning something similar, so I'll throw out some ideas to get you started. I'd do a 6 ft wide closet with a sliding door and a 4 ft wide bathroom. That will leave you 1 ft of wall space down the center for the plumbing and you can make that smaller if allowable by code and give the extra space to whichever one you'd like. Put the shower along the back wall (kitchen wall), then toilet and vanity. You should be able to fit a 26-ish inch wide shower along the back wall and a 31 inch vanity, depending on code. I say this because our hall bath is 4 ft 9 in by 11 ft, but we have a closet that bumps into the space right around the 7 ft mark, so our bathroom space would be somewhat similar. Obviously, your code might be different, but this might give you something to kick around....See MoreSmall bathroom from scratch - layout help needed
Comments (6)I'd like to see the vanity across from the toilet. That way people using the toilet can immediately wash their hands. If you need to split it in two for multiple person simultaneous use move the shower separate. That would also give you the possibility of a bigger shower. And yes, a pocket door to separate the two spaces. It's all going to feel very tight and small. This is almost what I removed during my remodel of my master bath to make one large room. You're blocking off any light from the window near the toilet to the other space. When I took those walls down the light now floods the entire bathroom and is a huge improvement....See Morebathroom layout advice needed
Comments (6)Karenseb - agree totally. My problem is they allowed for a 48 inch vanity and the plumbing is already in the slab floor and cannot be changed. So on the right wall after the shower I have a toilet and a 48 inch vanity and then a 27 inch space before the door. So my options are to continue the vanity counter over to the wall and put drawers underneath and perhaps put a painting over that. Welcome suggestions....See MoreTwo Options for Master Bathroom Layout - Advice Needed
Comments (4)Hi Diana, Each square in the pictures represents 2x2 inches. The room is 114 x 114 inches. The doorway is 28 inches, and starts 50 inches from the wall by the toilet. The tub is 60x32 inches. Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks!...See MoreRelated Professionals
