Concerning Kohler quality, I have found (so far) that they seem to ship a lot of very flawed products, but are quite willing to replace them. I bought two Memoirs 2269 sinks and a Cimarron toilet and all were badly warped. The toilet tank lid had a banana shape - over 3/4 inch warp - and the sinks aren't even close to flat on the surface that meets the counter. If I shim up the back right corner so the front makes contact, I will have a gap to caulk of over 1/2 inch and the top will not even be close to parallel with the row of subway tiles behind the sink. Kohler customer service says they are sending me a return authorization for both sinks, but since they were a special order item I fear I may wait another 6 weeks for a replacement and then get another warped one. Doesn't anyone inspect these things before they're shipped? Gary

Colonial white is supposed to match American Standard. You can email or call Toto and they'll send you color chips of cotton white and colonial white so you can compare for yourself. I just went through this deciding on how to match up a Toto toilet and bathtub with a Porcher sink (Porcher is owned by American Standard). For various reasons, I decided to stick with cotton white, but I think the colonial white was a slightly better match. I'm sure American Standard will send you a color chip too. It took Porcher a while to get my chip to me, but they eventually did. (I'm not so sure the chip actually matches the sink, but whatever. ;-))

napagirl - re-read as you left out the color names word white before your end quotes... as i was told, Toto's Cotton White = Kohler's White, Toto's Colonial White = AS White. there is NO color Kohler that matches Toto's Colonial White AND there is no American Standard color that matches Toto's Cotton White. make sense? maybe i am making it more confusing that it really is. my apologies if so.

I have a Kohler biscuit sink and bathtub right next to a Toto Sedona beige toilet. I would call the colors very close. I think the Sedona beige is a better match for biscuit than Colonial white is. I think Colonial white is grayer and the Sedona is more yellowish as is the biscuit.
