Hi guys- Yes, I LOVE the Aquia III!!!! I tell my husband that every few days. It seems silly to be SOOOO happy about a toilet (!) but I just love it. Comments: I don't know what that guy in the reviews link was talking about: the low-powered (#1) flush is quite powerful. In fact we use it most of the time, even for "#2". Our floor is not totally flat (big tiles with some variation). After the installation I was worried because it did wobble a teeny bit if you shifted your weight just right. I bought some of those clear nylon "miracle shims" from the local hardware store, shimmed the edge where needed, trimmed off the part not under the toilet (which was most of the shim) and caulked the whole tile-to-floor joint (which seems more sanitary anyway.) Now- no problem at all. No, it doesnt have Sanagloss. The ones with it were out of my price range. BUT- I have had no trouble keeping it perfectly clean. RE: palimpset's post about Supply valve. I really don't think their specs dictate the supply MUST be where they say. Did it actually foul the tank or something? Our supply comes up through the floor on the RIGHT side of the toilet (the supply-tank connection is on the left side) and we simply bought a longer braided supply hose. It goes behind the toilet bowl and to the supply. No issues at all. Source: I did buy it online from ebuildermerchant.com (namebrandfaucet.com). I believe they had an auction on ebay and I found them that way. I bought ALL of my bathroom stuff, a HUGE order, from them. Prices were great, and I asked for -and got- free shipping, even on the toilet and tub! The tank+bowl was $312.25 and I opted for the softclose seat at about $50.

Eric, do you mind telling me where you ordered your toilet from. Lyban, two local Toto dealers I talked with about a month ago said these "II" models were so new that they didn't know how quickly they'd come in, but based on past experience, they expected it could take 4 to 5 weeks. I thought that pressed my timing, so I looked online. (I also called Toto, which confirmed to me that the toilets were definitely in stock and had started shipping in February). The best price I got was from Ira Woods; I had ordered from them before when doing my kitchen and had a perfect experience, and they always seem to be recommended by folks on the kitchen forum. Their price was best if my total order would be $750, which would get me free shipping on the toilet; I was going to order my drawer pulls from them anyway (and eventually did), so I was over that limit. When I called them to ask about availability, they called Toto and estimated three weeks. I ended up ordering it from HM Wallace (they do business online as PerformanceToilets.com) because they promised they get a weekly truckload from Toto and would therefore get the toilet within a week and UPS it to me (free) for delivery within 10 days. Their price was about $40 higher, but since they seemed like they'd get it to me fastest, I ordered from them. Well, it turned out that my toilet "missed the truck" from Toto for two weeks, and ended up taking about three weeks to arrive anyway -- so I spent a little extra compared to Ira Woods for nothing. Oh well. I will say the customer service people at HM Wallace were nice to deal with. The toilet finally arrived Friday, and will be installed this week as soon as the wall tiling is complete and grouted. If we're happy with it, I'll be ordering another for our second bathroom project, which will start as soon as this one is complete. And I'll order from Ira Woods. One last note: when I was price shopping last month, many of the online sites didn't have all the new Toto models on their web sites, but they were all able to get me pricing when I called them. So if you don't see the model you want on a particular web site, it pays to call them. And make sure you check the shipping policies -- method and cost. (Reads the fine print: some web sites which prominently display free shipping on orders over $99 or $199 say that doesn't apply to oversized items, like a toilet. But they may offer free shipping for hitting a higher cost threshold.) I was surprised something as heavy as a 115 pound one-piece toilet could be shipped UPS, but it's standard with some of the companies. Others ship toilets via a freight line. That might make a difference if you or your contractor aren't home all day waiting for a shipment. Some ship all toilets for free; others have a pretty high cost threshold for free shipping. (If you can order your faucets or shower fixtures from the same company, it'll help you get free shipping on everything.) -- Eric

I've ordered a few things from FaucetDirect.com - which incidentally had amazing customer service. Decent prices, not the lowest, but very confidence-inspiring all over. It was very tempting to hit send and do the whole order that way. After some footwork to two local plumbing supply showrooms, I found one overpriced and the other an absolute dream. It's thanks in part to the sales tech who was brilliant, efficient and agreed to provide contractor pricing. (I'd asked her whether better to have my plumber or tile guy come in and do the purchase or me, etc.) She gave me lower prices than FaucetDirect could (after FaucetDirect's 6% discount and free shipping), quite substantially lower on some things, and far lower than the other local place. So the major things will come from this local supply place, delivered in one fell swoop except for one item that is special order and not needed till much later. Three things they did not carry or have in stock are coming from FaucetDirect. On one shower valve where there are two options, after a discussion with my plumber I wasn't convinced they'd really be happy with the one they said they'd want to use instead of the other, so I ordered both from the local place, with their sales tech verifying that if unused I can return whichever one they don't need. The research was time-consuming but I think this was the best approach for the type of consumer who wants to know what is going into their remodel in detail, wants a variety of choices and can coordinate for their plumbers and bathroom contractors rather than fuss around. If you don't have time to go find out what a toilet rough-in is and measure it out yourself and think about the math of what the finished wall will be in terms of rough-in with tile behind it, and then look at toilet schematics, etc., and to do that sort of things with shower valves and other components ... augmented with a couple calls to your plumber and/or bathroom contractor ... then I think it's fine to rely just on what your plumber/contractor recommends. Going only with the plumber/tile contractor's suggestions can be a good route if you know the general idea of what you have in mind but aren't particularly choosy about the exact style.

cplover - did you look to see if you could find the manual that goes with these toilets? You might be able to tell from that. Otherwise, there should be a contact number or email to check with the companies on these products. I can't imagine a company making a toilet that you had to remove to change the seat. Not that you do it often but from a general design perspective that would not be a good design.
