Personally, I think it is very unattractive and would not put it in my tub/shower. You would do much better with a chrome basket with a couple of hooks on either side to hang the washcloth or scrubbie. This one is clunky and the soap will get mushy and gross since it won't drain that well. An open basket is much better in my opinion.

They actually stopped making these for decades, as of the early 70's because there were too many lawsuits from people trying to use the bar part to grab on to and lift ehmselves out of the tub, break it off, fall, and hurt themselves as a result. In fact, they used to be called "soap and grabs", but as you see, they've changed the name, most likely for this reason.

They're great for retro or period baths.

I think it looks very old fashioned and clunky as nycbludevil said. I would keep looking. A chrome basket could be the answer but if it were me I'd do more research before committing.

Just researching other alternatives to tiled corner shelves ($50 each) or a niche ($150 each). I have a couple bathrooms to do so I'd rather spend that money towards something else for the house, like my kitchen backsplash!

Wondering how those chrome baskets hold up...I've seen them in nice Marriott hotel bathrooms.

I saw this shower caddy on Amazon which has good reviews, but it looks like it hangs too high as seen in a pic posted by a consumer (see link below).

If you go to Lowes or HD, you should be able to find corner shelves a whole lot cheaper than that. Like closer to 15-20.00.

I have that exact Simple Human set up in my downstairs shower. It is the only one I've ever had (after innumerable cheap ones from Linens and Things, Target, HD, etc) that didn't rust and stain the fiberglass walls. The others I've had looked like chrome but didn't hold up like real chrome. The thing I like about the one pictured is the shelves adjust from right to left, too, so you can have a tall bottle with the other shelf offset. It has nice cloth holding hooks,and the soap doesn't slip through the wire (through the upper edge) like it did on some others I've had. The suction cups actually work, too. I really love Simple Human products. (they have the best toilet bowl brushes and holder, too.)

If you do want a real "soap and grab" I thought this is a nice subtle (though not cheap) way to get a grab bar in (you can buy these lots of places, not just from Signature):

The 2 bathrooms are tub/shower combos (kids bath and downstairs bath). I wish I could find something more height adjustable for the kids bath...

Well, I'm clearly in the minority here, but I just had the soap dish/washcloth holder installed in each of the bathtub/shower combos in my new build. I love that they look a bit old fashioned. I actually found them in HD in Florida while visiting my inlaws. The HD I went to here in NoVA didn't carry them.

Here is a link to polished stainless steel baskets. These are attached to the tile with silicone so can be removed. You'd be able to move them as your children grow. No place for washcloth, but possibly clip rings could be used on the wires for cloths.
I recently saw the baskets in person. Not bad at all for the price.
