Thanks Bob - I tried that today and it didn't work - I found on the software website how to save the file and thereby create a file with .fax extension. However, following the steps as outlined in the software instructions, it didn't work. I did find that if I wanted to pay $60 I would get the 'professional' upgrade and - guess what, the buyer has the capabilities to modify the cover sheets! I'm still going to play around with it, maybe I will find something that will work. I do have an idea of incorporating my own personal cover sheet as a second page, I usually create PDF's and fax them (my first preference is to email them but that is not always posible), so that would work. there are a lot of internet faxing options many are free some charge a fee if the size is large. FaxZero.com do a google search for "internet faxing" what type of internet connections are you using, what type of modem or router? which version of windows? Are you certain there is not a built in modem in your pc already? most have them and they are generally fax modems. You could run belarc advisor on your pc and get a list of what is on it. go to this link, in the tutorial box scroll to item 100 it gives you the directions to how to use fax in windows wizard. I know of at least two ways #1 The easy way - buy a DVD player for the TV, they're cheap these days #2 The harder way: (This is a swag) a) Make sure your cable/satellite box is off. Start the Google TV and make sure the signal is on the TV (that makes sure the TV sees that HDMI input's signal) b)Pull the HDMI cord out of the Google TV box and connect it to the PC c)Boot the PC, see if it recognizes the TV as a display connected by the HDMI cable. If it does, you'll see your normal PC home page on the TV screen. Now play the DVD on the Computer. d)if it doesn't, you'll need to go into control panel, display, and see if you are given a choice of displays OR if there is a Discover button to push (Sorry, I don't have an xp machine here to check with). Switch to the second display, play dvd on PC. If this doesn't work, post back.

I have used eFax for years for my business. I have a premium account, which gives me a unique phone number so people can fax back, but they're free for up to 10 outgoing faxes a month, I think. As an aside - fax is an outdated method of transmitting document, and I *HATE* it that I have to maintain a fax line, but I do! Here is a link that might be useful: eFax Free
