Are the water shut offs not completely open? Are you using the flood prevention hoses? ( I forget what they are actually called) Either of those things could cause not enough water flow.

First, I wanted to thank flyingkite for starting this thread and giving all of us a 101 on how to tweak the w48xx. Here are a few more things:  On my machine (bought on 11-14-2007) I need to press the "Start" button SEVEN times and hold on SEVENTHS until the display shows "programming mode". If I only press it FIVE times as described above I get to the SERVICE MODE (some interesting information there). In machines which gets you into programming mode by pressing FIVE times the start button, you will need THREE times to get you into SERVICE MODE.  I tried the EU (Country Setting) and ended up with RINSE-ONLY in Normal programming mode. Back in USA setting  all works as said (except the temperature thing in normal mode Â) I will keep you posted with anything new I will discover  BTW I will also post some feedback on the temperature issue in a separate thread.

Greetings, Sshrivastava! I just checked both default settings; "Rinse Process" is set to NO and "Automatic Load Control" is set to ON. I believe there's a typo in the Service Manual regarding the Auto Load Control; it says in boldface "OFF: Not Activated" but it should say "ON: Activated". However, if some machines were in fact delivered with it set to OFF by default then it may have been a programming glitch at the factory. It makes sense to me for detergent test facilities setting this to OFF since it would then be much easier for them to control the water/detergent/fabric/soilage ratios because the machine then assumes a full load no matter what. Oh, I did in fact find the "Rinse Process" submenu item in the Service Manual; setting this to ON then causes the machine to gauge rinse effectiveness via the NTC thermistor (R30); I'm gonna leave this set to NO since I don't see any reason for it, given my current wash parameters.

So my Bosch WFR2460 washser just stopped mid load again..full of water, lights and display flashing. I had to enter the service mode, which I now know so well, to use the drain pump test program to empty it....Then began a new quick wash cold cycle to to simulate a rinse and spin to get the laundry out. That failed...service mode again to drain. Now on a quick cotton wash to see if I can get that to complete. I think I am going to call my dealer tomorrow and order the W3033, new in box, gulp, over the phone. Looks like this Bosch is going under real fast....I was almost just testing it thinking I was pulling the plug on it prematurely...but now I don't think so. Ironically a friend of mine who I was venting to about it then just had her 3 year old Bosch Nexxt 500 drum stop turning or spinning...I got the service manual and we ran the diagnostics and it looks like her motor control board is dead. That was a $1000 machine 3 years ago! I am just not going to put over $500 into a new board for my Bosch...Need to cut my losses on move on...hopefully to a higher place with Miele. I figured out I bought my Bosch 9 years ago for ca. $1200. Have done ca $600 in repairs. That is $1800 for 9 years.....I am sure if I had bought the Miele back then it would still be running fine...AND it would have been one of the good ole 240V machines!!!! Stay tuned!
