I am embarrassed to say that I was trying to restore because I could not rename some files no matter what I did (with the date in numericals). After trying for 2 days I said I would just restore to when I knew it was working. Thats how I found out the error thing. THEN I realized that the number lock was on ( has no light). Now you understand why I need help so often !!! Can not be returned but they will repair if needed. Just would prefer not to have to go that route if possible. Thank you again..

I uninstalled the kb3087916 which reverted back to an older Flash 18.0.0.0 or something like that. She will still get auto updates due to her not knowing what to do if I have her choose updates. BTW: I checked her Flash version before the uninstall and it had the lasted version with the work "DEBUG VERSION" next to it. Told my mom to inform me if the error appears and when Windows does an update again. If the issue reappears after another install of kb3087916 but not before, it IS that install. Whether Windows is aware of the error, I don't know, so I wonder when they learn of it, how soon a fix will come. BTW, I tried unclicking Script Debugging in IE advanced options suggested by Anne. After do so, a message came up in Mom's game site about debugging (didn't write it down), obviously due to my unclick. Didn't want mom to have to do any more steps being computer illiterate, so I went back and clicked it, leaving it that way. Hope that makes sense. I am concerned that she does not have updated Flash since I "hear" this is one way scammers and such find their way to screw with computers. She accesses her bank info on this computer. Thoughts?

No. I'm on 41.0, no problems crashing. I've used both Nightly and ESR, no problems with crashing with either. I assume you've "Reset"? Deleted your Firefox profile "~/.mozilla/firefox" and started fresh? I honestly don't know, mine is stable as a rock, at least while doing the things I do, and using the extensions I use. Maybe instead of mint forums, try mozilla forums? Maybe turn off hardware acceleration(in advanced Firefox prefs) if it's on. That's just a wild guess though.

On my phone, I guess I still had Fb up so not only did I not have to log in, but it restored me to the post I was looking at when I put the phone down. On my iPad, I had closed the tab last night, so now it wants me to sign in.
