Without knowing anything about you and your family's needs, it's difficult to say whether you should get a 30" or a 36" range. How many burners do you regularly use? How many do you need when you entertain (if you do) and for holiday dinners? If 4 won't cut it, get a 36" range. Your kitchen is large enough to accommodate a 30" wall oven, too. Personally, I'd prefer to use the smaller oven most of the time so that I'm not working over a hot oven while cooking on the range. Another option would be to do a 36" cook top, a 30" wall oven and a 30" speed oven (MW combo, multi-function). Separate appliances cost more but, as DrB477 pointed out, 36" ranges are spendy. You didn't ask for lay-out advice but your lay-out doesn't make the best use of your kitchen's footprint. Your fridge and range are crowded together and your island's angled shape puts the sink farther away from perimeter counters than recommended, plus it provides limited counter space. Given the opportunity to take advantage of your misfortune (my sympathies), it seems a shame not to consider addressing these issues at the same time. Are you on a slab? Even if you are, can you move plumbing at all? If so, here's one possibility that relieves appliance crowding and gives you a larger island with more counter on each side of the sink plus a lot more room to work on each side of the range, and better work aisle widths. Do you have pantry space somewhere? Or are you doing pantry cabinets? There's room to add them to the above plan, either between wall oven/MW and fridge, creating a "wall of tall" or at one end or the other of the range run. Good luck with your rebuild! PS. If your fridge is a standard depth fridge, you may want to allow a wider aisle between fridge run and island. Or you could investigate recessing the fridge into the stud space a few inches.

Thanks so much, Anthony! By the way, I have seen your appliance videos on Youtube and they are great! The kitchen will be about 26 feet by about 16 feet. Do you think that size kitchen supports such a large fridge and freezer? As far as getting it in stainless, any concern with smudges/fingerprints? We would get it in stainless with professional handles or could get it paneled, but I actually prefer the stainless, but am still worried about it always looking messy. It would be nice to have an internal dispenser at least like in the integrated subzero, but the built-in 36 inch columns do not have that now - at least as far as I know, but I could be wrong. And the 36 inch freezer is really big. Wish we could get the built-in in 30 or 24 inches in Subzero (I realize we could do the integrated freezers in that size, but kind of like the look of the built-in in stainless with grilles above). The Miele is nice that it comes in the clean-touch stainless (SF version) but not the same "professional" look and more expensive, even with their current 10% promotion, and not as much capacity. LindaLinda2 I only posted that info because many people (myself included) have had no idea of the health issues with gas stoves. I realize you were semi joking about not being dead because I’m assuming you’ve used a gas stove for a long time. The problem is, the stoves maybe won’t kill you, but are they worth it if they “just” make you a little more unhealthy as each year goes by? There are many products that have caused health problems decades after using that nobody knew about at the time. Then it’s all “oh geez, I wish I’d know about the health risks back then. I would have stopped using (whatever).” Asbestos, cigarettes, sunbathing, talc, the list is long. Perhaps read an article so you are making a fully informed decision on you & your loved ones future health. “In fact, children in homes that cook with gas have a 42 percent increased risk of asthma.” “Electric stoves considerably outperform gas stoves. If this is a fancy house and you intend to sell soon OR you do a lot of involved cooking for a lot of people or with large-format cookware and need 36” I would get that; either way, get a brand you have cooked on before so you know you like it. (My family test-drove new ranges through cooking classes—with COVID lightening up this is a possibility for many people again.) Also remember that big ranges come with big hoods, and the bigger it is, the more it looks like a restaurant or a bioscience lab. Also, looks like you are redesigning your kitchen and dropping a lot of money. I may be misreading, but it looks like whomever designed your kitchen put a sink over an undercounter refrigerator. If this is true, you may want to hire someone else to do this plan for you.
