Reviving this old thread since there really aren't a lot of user reviews on cornufe. I’ve been using for about a month and I love mine. Range is powerful and simmer is great for the most part. Oven cooks well and the range in general is beautiful. One thing I wish I’d checked: the oven comes with one normal rack, one telescopic rack, and one rack that is only designed to fit a cornufe broil pan or cookie sheet. The cookie sheet hollow rack is annoying since a normal rack would be more useful ( you can always put a cookie sheet or broil pan on top of a normal rack). the telescoping rack is great EXCEPT it’s really difficult to move it from one level to another. I’ve been practicing and it still takes me 10 minutes. My Miele oven telescoping rack can be moved quite easily in about 10 seconds. Anyone else have one and learned the trick?

I think the person I first talked to was Kelsey but I didn't get her name down properly so now feel like an idiot. I'm so tempted to use chelsea's direct number hmmm but really feel funny since she didn't give it to me directly and I'm not sure I should have it? But then again who cares, I want, need and gotta have my future, Lucy, Danielle, hmmm gotta think of a name now. LOL And I don't even have it yet. LOL. Chelsea must be use to desperate owners of Lancanche's want to be's. Frangipane was one of my color choices I'm thinking about. The woman on the phone said it was like a Kaki? Is that true? I'm also leaning toward, "Marron Glace". She said it was her favorite color. If it really looks like a light brown I will fall in love with it because it would match my granite perfectly like the Kaki color as well. I just had to go to Lacanche's french web site and it's very nice. I put the link for it below. I see a different model in their line that's not here and wonder if that's the one that may be here soon? However I'm not going to wait since I've seen to many price increases I think its time to buy and wait no longer. pluckymama, I guess it's just luck of the draw who I ended up talking to on my first call. I will ask for Chelsea from now on. And you may be right on the vacations right now. Although they are, or rather Lacanche factory has extended favorable prices until aug 1st and I wonder if they are on overload for orders before than. Colors I'm thinking of are Marron Glace or Frangipane. But to be honest with you I love them all! The color palette is truly beautiful I must say. I'm not worried though I know Art Culinaire will come through for me. I will be calling often to get things moving. Projective delivery date if I order before Aug 1st is sometime in November. A lot depends on how you cook and for how many you cook. Is your Victorian an old row house with tiny rooms or a mansion? Or a smallish house that you're blasting open on the inside. There are a lot of houses in your area where finding where to seat a dozen guests is a bigger issue than where to find the oven space. The vaulted La Cornue oven is supposed to be terrific for roasts. Not so much a gigantabird roasted whole. My goose pot wouldn't fit, for sure. :) Will you be baking twelve dozen cookies for school? Lacanche is more of a "normal" stove in the way you approach the oven. There are strategies by which anything can be made to work. Even with two fridges, three ovens and a warming drawer, I plan my menus according to what fits where when, and in what state, and I juggle things according to needs and spatial geometry. Project yourself into the future and think of how you really want to cook (not Walter Mitty day dream, but really) and which will suit that the the best.

I'd love to read some recent reviews on the CornuFe 90 "Albertine", especially related to the oven size. Thanks!
