But, my son leaving? Can't go there yet! He may require at least 10 minutes? Desertsteph - I'm 5'2". Glad to hear your shallower sink works for you. A shallower sink might be an answer for me. I don't like leaning over for an under-mount, deeper sink, but I DO like being able to keep dishes out of view when needed. I've never had a farmhouse style sink, but it seems that one would mean less leaning...? Drachiele - You make beautiful sinks, and I'm sure you've done lots of research on both sinks and faucets. Your explanation of how the aerator in a faucet would affect splashing makes a whole lot of sense. We are currently planning a Waterstone Fulton faucet on the main kitchen sink. Is there a number or something online that I look at that determines how effective an aerator is? Somewhat like how a stainless sink would be measured by the 14/16/18/etc gauge? Anybody have any thoughts on how easy/hard it would be to keep a solid granite sink looking good over many years?

Thanks for the info! Enzaenza, we plan on doing the MSI arctic white quartz which looks like pure white from caesarstone as our countertops. We're either going to do the porcelain slab in statuario for the backsplash or white subway. I am one of those people who's still not sick of the white subway look but I don't think it's a great match with the Arctic white quartz. I think i'd need a more patterned counter for that like one of the faux marble quartzes.

I think the client in the chair is female and I think she must use a chair that can get wet. I'm assuming the toilet will be shifted to the left and the built in cabinet made smaller. I want to incorporate a ramp at the entry to the bathroom. Loose some head room in the master bedroom and then ramp down to the bathroom. I'm thinking then the bathroom dry side becomes the emergency spill space if the boat rolls a little while anchored or docked. Need to book it to work. Just got the CAD drawings from the Naval Architect - I'm so excited but need to keep focused on the job on hand today! lol Reading through the email this job is a little easier in the fact that this boat will not have low voltage in floor heating like the last build. The stuff was a pain and something I did not enjoy working with.

Ps. Most people who have cooked almost all of their lives don't want to learn something new. Understandable. But, induction has so many benefits, especially safety, that it is worth the unnerving. Be positive about this new miracle way of cooking. And an individual hob, a hot plate thingy, preferable at 1800 watts, is a wonderful idea. It is so precise. I think you can actually set the temp at say 325 degrees rather than at say medium high, and change in 5 or 10 degree increments. I don't have one and so think, via hearsay. Under $100.
