Appliance pulls and drawer pulls - do they have to match?
Comments (8)The only appliance we paneled is the DW. With the panel, it looks identical to the trash cab on the other side of the sink cab. Both doors have the same handle/pull as all the other doors/drawers, but for those two doors (and the over the fridge cab) we used the 12" size pull (8" on almost all the rest). The fridge and the stove; KA built-in and Wolf range, are not paneled, and have their own factory-installed handles. IMHO, they all look fine together....See MoreDo your appliances match?
Comments (26)I bought a new refrigerator, micro, and refrigerator, all different brands, but all brushed stainless. I still have my 20 year old dishwasher, and every time I use it I hold my breath. I will probably replace it this coming year, but after reading about all the problems people have with cleaning drips and smears, I hesitate to get the stainless front. Could get a black front - that would work but it would probably show marks also. I'm almost thinking of getting the stainless, but leaving on that blue plastic stuff stuck to the front for shipping just to keep it clean as it's right in the spot where I stand to do all my baking. I may be putting my house on the market and would hate to have a gummed up dishwasher front. I don't have much company, and the blue front would be a topic of conversation! I do have Kenmore Elite refrigerator and I love it and I can see a difference on my power bill. I could kick myself for getting an ice-maker as about the only time I use ice is to cool down steamed veggies, and packing cold foods to transport....See MoreDo your appliance pulls match your cabinet pulls?
Comments (3)I have mostly knobs. My appliance pulls are by the same artisan but are different. Because I have fridge drawers in the middle of my small island, I decided to get matching pulls for the rest of the island. The pulls match the knobs less than the samples did and I still like the way they look. The color mismatch provides a bit of interesting tension....See Morehelp share pix if you have all your appliances/sink on 1 wall
Comments (3)Couple comments (without knowing your room dimensions). I am assuming that since you are replacing a set of doors, you are planning on moving plumbing. If I had this room, I would be tempted to put the trash, dw and sink in the island facing the FR and make the area under the window a drawer bank and MW area instead. Might give you room for large pot drawers instead of the small cab you have planned. Also, any chance you can make that island a wee bit deeper or longer? Seating looks kind of tight. Do you have a separate pantry area? Where is your food/bulk storage? Some things to think about. It would be much easier to help if you showed the room dimensions....See MoreRelated Professionals
