I love the Fuji persimmons. They are so different from the ones I grew up eating, though I like those too as long as you don't eat the skin by mistake! The regular grocery stores just started carrying them within the past few years but I've been buying them from the Korean markets for quite some time. The Fuji tree I have is grafted (not by me) but I'm not sure what the rootstock is. I think I bought it from Edible Landscape in VA. I was eating a Fuyo persimmon the other day and actually found a seed. Out of a case of 25 I found 1 seed. I have no idea if they grow true or not but I was going to plant it and see what happens. Maybe if it grows I could graft it onto a hardy variety? Are the Fuji and Fuyo the same tree? The fruit looks and tastes the same. Karyn

MaryAnn, Thanks for your response. This is my first rodeo and getting my page uploaded is giving me a whipping. Yes, I used your Netscape and find that it is very user friendly. But I used WS FTP to upload. I attempted to publish with Netscape, but nothing happened...machine just sat idle for 3 hours. Will try publishing with Netscape again if you think that will give me a better result. Things look good after I edit my page in c://; but when I upload the page into http//, my changes are not taking effect. (And, to make sure all the pix were uploaded, I copied the folder to the upload folder.) I would post a link, but the page is not nearly ready for the critics. It's just a little site with pictures of my family...just meant for keeping my family connected. Any help will be much appreciated. Patsy

Looks more like a Oncostele (formerly Colmanara), a cross of Miltonia, Odontoglossum and Oncidium orchids.
