Long Table Fundraiser

Meant to post sooner, but ended up with last minute company. Sorry Ann, really wanted to let you know how it went sooner!

The long table fundraiser to raise money for our Farmer's Market was a great success!

Sold out dinner, which was fantastic, great band, and of course some excellent silent auction items. We had about $4500 worth of auction items donated. Our goal was to make about $5000.00 and we were only a couple hundred short of our goal so we did really good.

Ann your knife boards were a huge success, and everyone commented on how lovely they were. They were one of the first things people noticed in the auction, and everyone loved them! I did end up auctioning as two seperate lots and I'm glad I did, as I think they went for more money that way. The magnetic knife board I paired with some local honey, which came in a lovely glass honey bottle. Lot's of business cards were taken, So hopefully people will look up your website and see all the other beautiful work Moe does. I tried to describe some of them to people, but not the same as seeing them!

I didn't see what they went for in the end, but I know they were close to their value when I looked 3/4 into the event.
I do know the larger serving/cutting board went to the wife of a local butcher/charcuterie company. They entertain lots, so I know it will get put to good use!!

We did notice that anything priced under $200.00 seemed to go for almost full value, where as anything over did not. So next time we will try and keep items under that ammount.

It was a lot of fun,(but a LOT of work), and I think everyone really had a good time!

Wouldn't have been the success it was, with out the generous donations by wonderful people and businesses, such as Ann and Moe T. So thank you again!!

People's generosity really amazed me. A lot of people commented on how many wonderful auction items we had!

I have put on events before, but never something where I was required to ask for donation items. (totally out of my comfort zone), so I was so grateful that so many people donated and said yes to donating. Really boosted my confidence in asking people :)
