At this point you don't have much to lose. If these pots have been fairly dry (but somewhat moist) you could try setting them on your porch now with some cover to prevent really deep freezing. The existing foliage will freeze off, of course--which shouldn't hurt. They should resume growth in the Spring. Keep them in their current pots until Fall (Oct) and transplant then. Keep in mind your situation is far from ideal so expect some loses, but with a little luck, you might be happily surprized also. Liliums are a pretty resilient bunch! Even I, whose yard is such that plants others deem invasive do not get a foot hold, do not allow 'Incense' passiflora to grow in the ground. I had experience with it trying to take over the world when a neighbor at another house planted it on our shared fence. I'm now trying to get it to grow in a pot (on a paving stone to keep the roots from escaping out the bottom) for the butterflies. Passiflora caerulea is pretty and did not spread from the roots in my yard, plus the butterflies never laid eggs on it. It didn't come back after last winter and I'm looking for another one. Passi foetida, "Love in a Mist" is also beautiful and is not an agressive spreader, but the Gulf Frit caterpillars have kept it eaten back this year so I never saw any flowers. Not that I mind. I wanted to have some food for them. Maybe some passi experts on here can suggest cultivars that are not agressive spreaders.
