Comments (41)Wooo!!! Cat, I am stuck at home because of the snow storm so wandered around here not looking at anything in particular and came upon your thread. I totally agree with you on the shower curtain choice. Regardless of whether I have the money to spare or not, keeping those suckers clean is a nuisance over time. We have a glass shower door that was installed back in 2003 and I can't tell you how much I hate cleaning it. Not that the door is all that dirty, but a shower curtain is way easier, and you can change the look/style whenever you feel like it. Can't do that with a pricey shower door. Anyway, everything looks lovely as usual, including the "prom" dress :-) Love, love those circular tiles, and the floor tiles that look like fabric. Gorgeous. What colour is that again? It looks greyish on my monitor....See MoreTrying to coordinate tile in very small bathroom
Comments (9)We have carrara floors (regular square 12 x 12), white vanity top (Ceasarstone Organic White), glossy white on the shower walls (Porcelanosa) and used a striped grey/black on the shower floor. We are currently using a white shower curtain. We love it. The room is approximately 6 x 10. At least one person on GW thought it was "too busy", but we think it's pretty calming actually (we both hate "busy")....See MoreLarge format tile vs small tile for small bathroom
Comments (5)We are also doing two bathroom remodels. Our tile installer is telling us that large tiles are the rage right now, however our master bath will be a wet room. I am very hesitant to put large tiles on the floor thinking that they could be very slippery. On the other hand, I really don't want to deal with discoloring of grout as time goes on. Now my mother installed lots of tile in the 80s and and the grout became very discolored. I am suspecting grout has come a LONG was since then. I have read about epoxy and urethane grout. Does anyone have suggestions for a bathroom wet room? Thanks so much for your opinions in advance!...See MoreSmall Bathroom Remodel Tile Help!
Comments (5)I'm in the middle of a bathroom remodel and I can't tell you how many pictures and blogs I've looked at in the last few months, but some key takeaways for me were: - Keep the tile palette fairly neutral and avoid trendy accent tile if you want the remodel to last longer. You can change things up later with paint, fixtures, etc. - If you're using tile for the vanity backsplash, you don't also need the little quartz/marble backsplash. I stayed at an Air BnB where they did this and it looked strange IMO. Wish I had taken a picture. - Consider whether you need a side splash. It can look awkward if it ends in the middle of a wall. You might want it if kids will be using the bathroom though. I can also do a whole thing on mirrors if you're interested. :-)...See MoreRelated Professionals
