current maps- Google?

I posted this on the 'scanning' area also, but maybe this would be a more appropriate area to ask... I have used Google Earth in the past. I have gotten more recent pictures than what I am getting now. When I look at my place/daughter's place/friend's place, the pictures are 3-5 years old. I once got on Google Earth and saw updated pictures. How do I get on the correct site to see newer pictures? Thanks

Since the companies do not keep as current as I would like, I have 4 map sites that I use. Microsoft, Google, Quest and Yahoo. Obviously there are others. I keep mine in a bookmark folder entitled "Maps." Do a search using different search engines to find choices you want to explore.

are you certain you were using google maps and not one of the many other earth maps?

For example www.zillow.com has very good close ups of property you might look at it.

Your best bet is to go to http://www.flashearth.com/ and click on the different satellite mapping sites to see which has photos in your area that are reasonably current

Good! A nice neutral color that highlights the product not detracts. My table cloths were a muted soft green - the baked goods looked special because they were all tan/gold/brown/white/cream (no artificial colors). Some of the produce vendors used vivid red/orange/yellow flowers, blue and purple veggie patterns, or abstracts for their cloths and the real fruits and veggies got so very lost on them (personally gave me a headache looking at them). I took photos then photo-shopped them to show the difference between using patterns and solids. Got several jobs making cloths though some still insisted on bright reds and golds where I thought they should be color of earth - brown, tan, green, or even white or black, to highlight the vivid colors of the fresh veggies, and several thought I was crazy. Whatever. At the end of the season meeting several commented on how much more they sold and my Mkt Mgr suggested that it was because of the cloth colors, showing tabulated season sales to the new cloths relatively. That was a very nice complement and unbidden. I hope your bakery appreciates your beautiful work.

I use Flash Earth.
You can toggle between several of the major map sites.
If you want maps that are more current you can buy them cheap on Ebay.
A guy that goes by the name imagetrader sells them.
A neighbor bought one for our county a couple of weeks back.
We examined the map and determined it was from May of 2007.
