Help with layout for bathroom reno

Last year my husband and I bought a 150 year old house that was built in sections over time. As a result we have a few odd shaped rooms. We're making most of them work well but we have a bathroom that has a lot of wasted space and we're looking for ideas to make it work better for us.

Our house has 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths - the only full bath is on the 1st floor off our master bedroom, and the other two bedrooms are upstairs with no bathroom up there. The half bath is off the living room and that's the one we're looking to renovate.

I'm posting the layout of the existing room here and would be open to suggestions of what to do with this space. As far as what we're looking to accomplish, we would be willing to take one of the doors out, and would like to see either a full shower or a stand-up shower, along with a bigger sink/vanity, and we'd like to still have a closet. I'll post the layout of the room in the house too, so you see how it fits in the larger picture. Thanks!
