Would this bother you?

Notice that the middle pendant is darker. I can get it switched, but I am almost leaning towards keeping it because it's a little bit different. What do you think? Would it bug you to see that every day?

Yes, it would personally bother me. If the middle light fixture was larger, or stood out in some other way, than I might live with it. I would look at it daily and think of the mistake.

Thanks for the idea! An open cabinet actually wouldn't work b/c the 9 inch is in the middle of the run - next to corner cab. It is taking the place of what was going to be a 3 inch filler. Looks like it might be good for cookie sheets or something though! On the bottom, I just ahve my blind base to deal with (which is getting a better door front now) - and the 4 inches of empty space in the corner - blocked by blind base and dishwasher - so only I will know it's totally vacant space. Oh well! I hope I love it all when it's done!

Hi, I think your cabinets are beautiful and I think the microwave looks fine. As many here have stated, it is hardly noticable. However, I would worry about the clearance from the cooktop. Our KD told us we would not be able to have the MW OTR because you need to have a minimum of an 18 inches from cooktop to bottom of cabs. Ours was 161/2 and then became 16 with light rail. With all that said, rather than ordering another custom cabinet, is it possible to remove just the header or bulkhead over the cabinet above the MW and bump up the existing cabinet to the ceiling? I think it would look nice and solve the problem. Good luck to you. Your kitchen is lovely.

Oh, Cynic, don't be ridiculous! Of course I didn't see it as a "transaction", what a crazy thing to say. You may be right that the girl feels more comfortable corresponding with her Uncle (DH) and I did call her "my husband's niece" but never in a million years would DH even think to send a gift. And never is he the one invited to the wedding showers and baby showers for his siblings children and their spouses--it's always ONLY me. Being that we live at least 5 hours away and I work a great deal I am rarely able to attend, but I always send something. As Cheri2008 stated, it seems they can send out wedding invites, shower invites and baby announcements (which to me is akin to asking for a gift) but it's too difficult to send a proper thank you? I guess I may have to change my expectations when people start using facebook to invite others to a wedding.

Hey the guys got to go somewhere. When our last house was being built our back yard was private. They watered the dirt until we got a functioning bathroom in the house. I have no problem having workmen using my bathroom. It isn't a sacred shrine. We had 48 trees cut and ground out of current home and had at least 20 girls and guy workers for 3 days. We have a bathroom right inside the garage and told them it was theirs to use. I just put in a big roll of paper towels in it. Also gave them use of the garage fridge and also stock it with water for them. One of the first things I tell workers is where the bathrooms are and to feel free to use them.

I think the color clash between the pendants and the walls and then the too white ceiling would bother me more than the variation in the art glass.

LOL! That is what caught MY eye too... not the slight variation in the glass!

Well..the picture is a little misleading as the ceiling is actually more of a off white/creamy color. The swirls in the color of the pendant are the same color that is on the walls. Also, by the time you have cabinets in along with the granite, it will be more tied together.

What would bother me more is that the fixtures aren't spaced evenly apart.
