It's March 2012 - How's Your Build Progressing?
Comments (60)Haven't Posted any pics in quite sometime. We are finished with drywall and paint. Trim is going in along with tile and finishing touches on electrical. Hope to get power moved from the temporary power pole to the house next week. Bathroom and laundry room cabinets should be in by end of this week (fingers crossed!) or maybe next week. Need to get flooring ordered and a thousand other things that I cant remember! Does anybody else feel like for every one thing that gets taken care of ten more pop up that you hadn't thought about!!! Here are some pics front elevation My columns I built Rear Elevation Love the "Coastal Crown Molding" Living view to out back Master bedroom with alternating stripes of flat and satin paint. This took me forever! But so worth it. Floor tile down in Master Bath Sewing/Laundry Room Upstairs Door being painted Stripes for our soon to be second son's room. These took significantly less time than the master bedroom! Practice! MichelleDt your house plan looks AMAZING!!! cbusmomof3 I agree about the not being able to look through the walls! I had to go back and look at framing pictures this weekend and everything looks so different!...See MoreIt's May 2012 - How's Your Build Progressing?
Comments (73)Finally have started to be installed, and I'm excited to finally have some photos to share. More in the album I just created on Photobucket, but I will drop a few into the post here: Bookcases and windowseat in library. The seat has shelves in front and storage behind. Also in the library are cabinets, TV/media space, and more shelves: Kitchen cabinets are in. There is a spot for cookbooks at the end of the peninsula. Wood will wrap around the peninsula. Stove with vent hood above it goes on the back wall. Some of the mud/utilty/laundry room cabinets are in: View of the living area and kitchen from the master bedroom showing the 5" oak floors: Going on Monday to template the granite and they hope to install that at the end of next week. Comments (58)Rushed to move our main wall ICF pour up to beat the blizzard that hit the midwest last week. We made it, and sure glad I did. Pics below of the walls poured and then pics of the day after with the snow. We went from 38 degrees on pour day to 50 mph wind gusts and negative temp wind chills the next day. Comments (140)We are about the same place as Stephanie-Sara, maybe a bit further. Foundations and underground storage room floor and walls all poured and waterproofing on, backfill almost finished. Garage is ready for pad which will be poured next Tuesday Aug 4th. They have started putting the floor joists in and the plywood is here for the decking. Meeting with builder and architect on Thursday to finalize window/door choices as they will be ready for them before we know it. Been fighting uphill battle with architect because I want gliders and she wants casements....whose house is it? I have won on most except a couple of small awning type which are fine. The real *working* windows will be gliders. Also appliance finalizations....still debating refrigerator. Next spring/early summer hopeful finish date....See Morebevangel_i_h8_h0uzz
