Remodeling bath, where to put wall tile

We're remodeling two not especially large bathrooms (one measures about 6-1/2 x 10, and the other measures about 7 x 8 ). We had hoped to enlarge one of them but we can't due to concrete floors and the location of the toilet stack (old industrial building condo conversion).

Both bathrooms have Carrara marble tile on the floors which is quite lovely so since we're not changing the size of the bathrooms, we are going to keep that tile in place.

In bathroom no. 1, we took out the tub and to go with the Carrara floor, we've chosen a dark grey Kohler Salient shower pan (cast iron) and light grey 12" x 24" tiles for the shower.

In bathroom no. 1, the question is, we found a gorgeous mixed-color glass tile that we are considering using for an accent, but I can't decide if we should put it on only one wall, which would be the vanity wall, perpendicular to the shower wall, all the way to the ceiling, and paint the other walls, or instead, put it half way up the wall, but on all 3 walls (other than the shower). Would it look unbalanced to have tile on the right (shower) and back (vanity), but not on the front (door and toilet) and left (towel bar)? What color might you paint the "bare" walls?

In bathroom no 2, we left the tub, and are putting in new tile in the tub surround that is a light grey sort of linen-look tile.

In bathroom no. 2, the wall on the right as you enter is first the toilet (alcove), then the tub (also an alcove). On the other wall will be a closet (to be built) across from the tub, and a vanity (likely freestanding) across from the toilet. This bathroom will serve as both my daughter's bathroom and a guest bathroom. The same question goes. We'll tile the tub surround of course, but would an accent wall of a striking tile be good? If so, where - one wall? Vanity wall and toilet alcove? To the ceiling or just half walls?

The ceiling in both bathrooms is low.

Thanks so much for your help!
