I wrote a nice long post of all the things I loved in your pics and then clicked the 'Return to the Holiday Forum' button instead of the 'Preview Message' and lost it all!!
So, here's a shortened version.

You have so many interesting and beautiful collections. Just to mention a few: I love the 2 pheasants on the left in one of you 'top of the cabinets' vignettes. And the white pheasant on the right in one of the others. I think they are pheasants (time for new glasses).
My favorite of the cookie jars: the polar bear, the cardinal, and the Christmas tree.
And you've "got it going on" in your purple wreath. I've got to remember to show my DD the next time she's here. She loves purple also. The peacock is so striking. It really caught my eye. Love it. I may just start collecting pretty purple things and make her a purple wreath to remember me by when I'm gone. TFS Just thinking of all your hard work getting everything decorated makes me tired. Now I know why you said your body hates you!!!!

Wow, I should of been here hours ago but just want to let you know I also loved viewing all your decorations. I bought GD a purple tree like that for her room this year. It was so neat I couldn't pass it up. I will return and take more time looking later also. Decorating is hard work but so fun to enjoy after it's all done huh?

Lovely decorations. I know how much time you put into each little vignette and it was a thrill to look at each one. Fireplaces are fantastic.

Your decorations are beautiful! You really have some classic pieces and have done wonderful arranging them.

That purple tree is amazing. I couldn't, for the life of me, imagine a purple tree. But after seeing your finished product, I have to say, it is LOVELY!

In fact, your whole house is lovely. I've seen the horse many times in other pictures and I think about "the one that got away" every time I see it. (Had a chance to own one once and just couldn't quite come up with the money.)

Purplemoon, lovely decorations!! The golfer Santa and nutcracker were my fav! But, everything really looks great - the carousel horse and the purple tree. And your house is so beautiful. Hope you are feeling better now!

Wow Karen! I just looked at your album and now I think I'd better take a nap! You have been busy!!!! There are so many beautiful things. Your santa collection is great. I love your nutcracker cookie jar -if you're tired of it you can just send it to me! The purple tree with MoonDancer -such pretty ornaments. All your reindeer. I love the wall tree. I have never seen one of those. Your purple wreath is stunning. Love it!!! Last year I went crazy with my pink tree - now I want a purple one and a black and gold one and a blue and silver one and a sage green one and a nutcracker one and...and...and...whoa - I'd better go take a nap and try to snap out of this!!

Mary, that wall tree is about 6 ft high and totally flat back. I've had it many years. I've seen them more often now tho, in catalogs and pre-lit too. They look really neat with a table (and a village scene) under them, but I'd rather not give my cats any extra incentive to explore things! LOL
I'm wondering if an inexpensive faux tree from thrift shop or yard sale couldn't be done as a wall tree tho. Just flatten the back branches, or even remove them!

Slinkey, I found that tin sleigh quite a few years back in an antique shop. Last year I put a floral arrangement in it and decided I liked that use of it best.

Delph, I'll put you in my WILL for the Nutcracker cookie jar. LOL. I just got him off eBay two wks ago, and love the little guy. I saw some other nutcracker ones listed, but mine 'spoke' to me and they didn't.

Thank you Everyone, for such glowing comments on my home and decor. You sure know how to make a gal feel REALLY good. My purple wreath was a new venture for me and I'm especially glad to hear compliments on it.

I went in Michaels today....BIG MISTAKE. My wallet is much lighter this evening. I'm incurable with Xmas goodies!!
They had prettier peacock clip-on ornies this year I think.
I got my purple one, and two sparkly silver ones last year.
This time they have red, white, black, and kind of a golden brown...but they are fluffy feathered and sparkly heads. So pretty! I got the white one and the black one.
Couldn't resist them. Lots of sales on Xmas stuff, most is 50% off. They also had a Santa I couldn't leave behind.

Note to Self, stay out of Michaels till NEXT year!!

Karen, All of your Christmas decorations are so very pretty. That purple fairy and peacock are just gorgeous. You have certainly done a lot of hard work and it shows. Just beautiful.

Karen, You are too funny. Everything is so pretty and sparkley! Too much to name but I think The sparkley gold tree on to of the curio cabinet!! Just love shiney stuff.
