Restoration Hardware Medicine Cabinet

I'm considering medicine cabinets from Restoration Hardware, specifically the Hutton (white painted wood frame) and the Wide Frame (wide metal frame in satin nickel). I generally think of their products as good quality, but was wondering if anyone has any experience, good or bad, to share. The prices seem alarmingly reasonable compared to, say, Robern, and I don't want to buy junk. Some of their medicine cabinets are in the stores, but most, including the ones I want, are only available on the website, so I'd have to actually order them to see what they're like.

I don't have experience to share with you, but if you have a Restoration Hardware outlet near you, make sure you visit. I was shocked at how many medicine cabinets and mirrors they had at the one I visited. Many of them are just catalog returns. Even if you're not interested in buying from the outlet they have most of the things that are not sold in stores so at least you could take a good look at one before you buy.

We put the cartwright medicine cabiet in all of our baths. The price was too good to pass up. They are all installed, but we haven't used them yet. They look nice enough to me.

I am curious to know the warnings. I am doing this in my master, GC will cut the hole in the wall and I guess there are kits, we are going to put a mirror and do wood frame that matches the cabinets. I hope there are no issues.

I took out a recessed unit, framed & covered the space. Put a Restoration hardware pivoting bathroom mirror there flanked by sconces. Over the toilet, I put a big boxy medicine cabinet - a Restoration Hardware Cartwright double door unit. It doesn't quite go with the modernist elements in our bathroom, but the vanity is white & the polished nickel references the PN accessories & lav faucet. Its plenty deep, has gads of space & really thick glass shelves. It was just a bear to hang on the wall. As I recall, the hardware they provided was *laughable*. I considering building a surface mount one myself out of curly/quilted maple with a neoclassical motif modeled after the AT&T building (now the Sony building) in manhattan, but @ $127 @ RH outlet, I couldn't pass it up. Thank you all for the suggestions. Kevin, I think that I am going for a more traditional look. I love the Rejuvenation and School House fixtures, but I am overwhelmed with the choices. Can anyone suggest something that would look good in a small bathroom with this sink (link below) and the Restoration Hardware medicine cabinet I linked above? Tub is the Kohler Villager cast iron, 60" x 32". Bidet seat is the Brondell Swash 1000. Brondell must be trying to move these because they are on woot dot com about every 2-3 months at a substantial markdown. Love it. RH sconces are all right, but it's a little tricky to turn the shade which rotates around the bulb to act as a dimmer, so we don't use them as night lights as I thought we might. They do create a pretty pattern on the ceiling. Deb, the top was pre drilled. I wouldn't compare it to a high quality slab of statuary marble, as I suspect given the price that there is a lot of resin holding this together. But it's pretty and it hasn't etched. Flooring is a porcelain imitation of bardiglio I bought at Tile America. I can look up the details if you want them! They substitute their own brand names so I'm not sure if you could easily find it elsewhere.

Assuming they are manufactured by the same company, I have a Hutton vanity and I am very pleased with the overall construction, quality, and appearance. So far, I have always been pleased with the quality of items I have purchased from Restoration Hardware.

Check shipping costs - I wanted to order a medicine cabinet but there was a flat rate shipping cost of $199. The vanity was $500 that's almost half the cost of the piece!
