Would the ".revouninstaller" get rid of Adobe 7.0.7 Reader in my computer cannot remove it from "add and remove"
I have "Foxit" now and it works fine.
Have Windows XP sp2

No go there then reinstall your version from the link & then uninstall through the add/remove list again.

You will have to open adobe 7 on your computer to locate the exact version#

Zep, that was one of the first things I did. Revo uninstaller attempted to remove but needs the uninstall files from the program itself. If I could only find the version that I originally installed, I might be able to accomplish the uninstall. So far, nada.

So Gramdms you can go the dirty way.
Right click Start
click Explore
on the left side click the plus sign beside C: if not already showing the minus sign
look below and click the plus sign beside Program Files
look below for Open Office folder and click that plus sign
now go to the rght side and click to delete the files and folder showing.

If you are denied then open each folder and delete the contents then delete the folder.

Once cleared out run Ccleaner.

I went back to Revo Uninstaller and chose "forced uninstall" this time, and even though it started to roll back during the configuration process, it did work this time, so thankfully I won't have to go the hard route suggested by Owbist. I did use the advanced mode so that it cleaned up everything!

I did not know the tool had that option, I usually use owbist method.

Well it worked no more Adobe Reader in the computer that I can see Adobe must get into everything.

Though I was hesitant at first, I have been using and recommending Revo for about six months now particularly on those tough to remove applications. It is not perfect though. I recommend a manual search of the H/D for any orphan files after using REVO.

Also, if you are a user of CCleaner run a "SCAN" using the Registry tool. Unless you are experienced in registry actions only approve the removal of entries pertaining directly to the application you just uninstalled. Of course, accept the option to create a backup when offered.

Revo is an excellent program I have recommeneded it here and elsewhere for a long time and it usually provides excellent results. Plus it has some other great features other than being an uninstaller, I suggest reading up on the site as to the various uses, it is a great tool for addressing your start up programs.

Another question when in start up my scanner always comes on as I use it very seldom is there a way I can stop it, I cannot find it listed in the "revo" start up list, the scanner is a Canon Lide 80, is it possible to click on programs and open it up when I need it.

Maybe it's running as a Service not sure...

You could check in MSCONFIG.

Start>Run> In the run box type:MSCONFIG. Check the Start up Tab & the Servise tab for cannon related files, unsure of the file your looking at Google it, Don't worry you will get all kinds of Malware references to the file..
