non-travertine shower/bath surround with travertine floors

We are trying to decide on tile for our masterbath. We have the floor installed (ivory/light beige travertine). Due to well water (slightly hard) and cleaning issues (hate to do it) I would like to use a ceramic or porcelain tile around the bathtub and in the shower area. Would it look bad to use a white or ivory subway tile with some sort of listelle or accent? Would subway tiles be too visually distracting with the 18 x 18 travertine floor? How about a larger rectangle tile for the shower and smaller mosaic for the tub surround. Need help quick. We need to buy this weekend. Here is the floor plan of my masterbath. Thanks in advance!
