A couple more tablesettings

Here are photos of two more tables I did for Christmas. Both of these used green and white, but I changed accent colors from silver to gold.

Forest Green makes another appearance in this first setting...I love using it on Christmas Day. The setting was very simple and was our Christmas breakfast table.

I used the same setting for our Christmas dinner that night. I removed the carafe, tray with the cruets and the pedestal for the salt/pepper shakers and put another place setting at the end of the table.

For breakfast, I used a forest green bowl filled with silver ornaments in the center of the greenery...forgot to take photos of this. The candelabra was placed in the center for Christmas dinner. My tree with vintage ornaments and elves is in the background.

This second setting was for dinner tonight. It was dark by the time we had dinner and with the candles burning, there were little glimmers of gold sparkling all over the table.

Guess by now, ya'll all know my name is Kim. LOL!!

I absolutely love these little gold sparkly birds! They have gold feathers attached at the back and I think they're too cute.

Dinner was grilled pork chops, scalloped potatoes, salad, French rolls and banana pudding for dessert. Yummy!

I still like Dreamgoddess, or Dream for short. You sure know how to make some "Dreamy" tablescapes!

It took my slow computer forever to actually let me see more than the top 1/4th of each picture!

I like the contrast between the silver and the gold tables. Both beautiful in their own way. You have such a nice collection of the foreat green dishes. I've enjoyed all of the different settings you've done with them.

The gold tablescape is my favorite. You have a talent for adding the touches that make it special.

I finally bought myself a set of gold colored flatware, but I'm sad because it didn't include the pretty butter knives. :o(

Thanks for sharing. I never tire of seeing your creations.

Just gorgeous table settings! I especially love the blue table cloth with all the gold accents.

Sandi, Congrats to your son. Sounds like a fine young man. You had a busy day too. Isn't it amazing how quickly a day goes sometimes? Lee, the little cupcakes are just so cute. I've had lots of comments about them from DS and DIL. They say they would make them hungry all the time. I think my family sometimes thinks I am crazy when they see all the goodies I like. They are much more into a modern, uncluttered look. Karen, wish you lived close. We could "play" together. I could do the "arranging" while you "coached" me on what to put where. So sorry you are still not feeling better. Judith, I know you must be exhausted trying to get all the yard work done, and making sure all the dishes are hidden away before Mom arrives! Just teasing. LOL I am sure your place just looks great already--I know you will be so glad you had this time with your Mom. Remember, she wants to see YOU, not your home. Luvs

You are right Mo, but unfortunately it's an annual occurence here. We get our rains in the Spring and everything grows, then it gets hot and dry during the summer and it burns! They are really trying to get people who live in the mountains to keep the brush trimmed away from their homes--unfortunately many like the lush look of the foliage. None are near where I live, but our skies have been full of the smoke for several days. Glad you liked the little scarecrows. ;o) Luvs

It's addicting. I started with 1 from Walmart like ten years ago. Since then my collection has GROWN. I've had more than fifty adult adenium and too many seedlings to count. Just last year I lost several hundred seedlings over the winter. It is definitely time to get a green house.

Totally gorgeous tablescapes! I love the lace over green, beaded chargers/mats, and delicate floral stems in the CP in the 1st pic. The white dishes with gold on green is beautiful! Love it all! TFS

Dream, your tables always look so nice. Love that gorgeous candleabra. The green dishes are so perfect for Christmas and could easily be used for a Spring table as well I think. You always add such nice "extras" like the little name card holders and all the nice candlelight. Thanks for sharing these with us.

Betty, thank you so much! I can't wait to see your gold flatware...have you done a table with them yet? My set didn't have butter knives either. It probably isn't "politically correct", but I just used some of the extra dinner knives that I had.

Luvs, the candelabra originally belonged to my mother. She was going to throw it away and I quickly told her "NO!". I brought it home and DH drilled some holes in it for the prisms. When my mother saw it on my table, she joked that she was taking her candelabra back.

Punk, the gold was definitely full! I kept going back looking through my stash to see what I could find that was gold. LOL

Kathleen, thank you! Christmas was wonderful this year...I'm not ready for it to end.

Oh, I wanted to tell ya'll about my carafe in the second photo! I was in the antique shop here in town last week and I found it there (it's not antique though). The original price on it was a whopping $3.00 and the owner had marked it down to $1.00. Well, for that price I couldn't pass it up. The reason it was so cheap is because the stand has a couple of cracks in the metal where the carafe sits. When I got up to the counter to pay for it, the owner of the shop told me I could just have it! She said she had started to throw it away, but she thought someone might be able to use it. You bet I could use it and did on Christmas morning!

I'm wondering though...anyone know if maybe the cracks could possibly be repaired? I had asked the owner of the antique shop, but she said it probably wasn't worth it.

Very elegant and lovely. I love the chargers and both the gold and silver look good with your (and mine) green dishes. The carafe was really a find. I personally don't mind using things with a little wear, that's what they are made for.

If your DH or any of his friends can solder/weld, I imagine they could fix the cracks on the stand easily. They would do the repairs on the inside and it should keep it from cracking more. Luvs

Luvs, I feel a "DUH" moment coming on. My SIL is a welder and I didn't even think about that! I bet he could repair it for me.

You out did yourself...they are just gorgeous!
I love the first table with the lace and beautiful green glassware and the silver accents.
Your evening table is just stunning, and I think my favorite.
I just love all the details and the vintage place cards..love that look.
I'm partial to white dishes, and this one is just so special with all the beautiful gold accents of flatware, ornaments and and of course those 'must have' chargers!
You have so many lovely things...

I'm so happy for you with your great buy. You go girl! Thanks for letting us in on this. I hope you can get it fixed but if not, it's still cool. I really like the silver but your table isn't as full. However if you keep finding good buys it will be. Punk

I have the same exact caraffe, Kim..it was a 70's thing! I don't think I ever used it! I must have it somewhere, LOL!
