Uninstalling Firefox may leave the user profile data intact for a reinstall. Suggest uninstalling again and manually deleting all the profile data. Reinstall, which will then create a new user profile. Backup your bookmarks before uninstalling and deleting the profile, so you can import them into the new profile. There's a backup function (and import function) under Bookmarks / Show All Bookmarks. I had a situation recently in which Firefox stopped working with my online banking billpay service. The page would load with no errors but blank. IE worked OK but I refuse to use IE. Just my local bank. Three credit card accounts elsewhere, brokerage account, and other secure sites worked OK. Local bank worked OK with the Firefox Default user, which is not the profile I use for myself. I keep Default bare with no add-ons or bookmarks saved. Apparently something went awry in my user profile. I created a new profile (without reinstalling), copied bookmarks to it from my previous profile, reinstalled my add-ons, and that solved the problem.

For sinus sufferers, there was a bit on NPR about lactobacillus sakei and sinus infections...seems to be a strong connection to the good bacteria fighting off the sinus infections. Only thing is, it hasn't been studied yet in humans, but thought I'd mention that there has been some early signs of success with it. Also GF suffers with allergies and she has found that taking OTC antihistamine before or as her allergies begin really helps to control the situation as it keeps it from getting worse and setting up vicious cycles of misery. Though I have no first hand experience, I hope this helps.... what causes sinus infections Acutally this whole human biome business is just beginning to get hot and scientists are just beginning to understand that we shouldn't think of the body as a pristene place with viral and bacterial invaders that need to be wiped out....rather we need to think of the body as a garden where we want to grow the good bacteria so it can keep the bad stuff in check....fascinating stuff. I have had numerous problems in the past, and yes, it does seem like whenever GW plays around with new ads is when I've experienced the most. But for some reason, this time, I'm not having any problems at all and I don't see the ads in the middle of posts you've been talking about. I hope it stays that way, too. I do use Firefox with all the ad blocking goodies, but I'm not up to date on the newest version. I stopped using IE for this site a long time ago. Last week I was having some problems with my computer running very slow to load things and was starting to get aggravated, (this was also just after some automatic updates Windows did) but I ran a scan in my virus protection (it didn't show any reports of any issues) and I also went to Microsoft and ran a free scan there (still no reported problem) then I rebooted (for about the 5th time) and now no problems.
