vanity mirrors and lighting - opinions needed

Hello - I'm currently working on my first bathroom renovation.. kind of doing the ms. limestone things in my master bath. I have a espresso vanity that will have carrara marble on top. I'm planning on putting two single vanity mirrors above each sink (pivot mirrors from Restoration Hardware). Here is my problem...ideally I would have liked to put a scone on each side and in the middle of the mirrors...unfortunately they will not fit on the outsides of the mirrors due to the sink bases.

Here is my dilemma..should I add a double sconce (RH Lugarno sconce) in the middle of the two mirrors or put a double sconce above each single mirror? thank you!!

JMO, but I think you should place the lighting over each mirror if there isn't room for lighting on both sides of mirrors. I would only place it between the mirrors if you had adequate overhead lighting to prevent shadows and unevenness when looking in the mirror. GL!

I think sconces over each mirror will look better than just one double sconce in between the two mirrors. For some reason I'm envisioning that because too focused on the light.

Any chance you could go with slightly smaller mirrors so you would be able to fit a sconce on the outside of each mirror as well?

@catbuilder haven't bought the sconces yet. he wants to put the electric boxes and wires in the wall today. he wants them up really high like 15" from the ceiling. we have 9 foot ceilings in the master bath. the mirrors will be trimmed out to the ceiling kind of like a wainscoat. the whole wall will be wood and mirrors. no sheetrock. the mirrors will be "built into" the trim surrounding them. that's the best way I can describe it. he wants to put the sconces on trim rather than on the mirrors. our vanity is only going to be 84" wide. rather than that panel with the sconce you see in the middle in this pic, there will be a little skinny mirror in between the 2 wider mirrors. there will be skinny mirrors on the sides of the walls like this pic too. so a total of 4 sconces. one on each side of the skinny middle mirror in the trim that separates the skinny mirror and the wider mirrors. and one in the trim on the side wall and one in the trim on the other side wall

Could you get the Stockholm or Target mirror in black? I think the large black framed mirror will clash with the sink and the simplicity of the subway tile. It's looking great so far!

You could use pendants hung from the ceiling or you can have the sconces mounted on a full wall mirror if you want to avoid over mirror lights. I used a double swag lighting fixture in a small powder and people mention it every time they see it. The junction box has been centered since this picture was taken.

Stay with me-- I think looking at the visual that Eileen provided- I think the mirror looks heavier than I would prefer. ( I have standard 8 foot ceilings). I am considering one that comes 27 by 36. Obviously I'd hang vertically. Do you think this is good? thank you so much for the follow-up, just noticed the responses. I really really want to be able to fit a sconce on each side but the problem lies in the sinks...due the size of the sink cabinets. I can fit the sconces and mirrors no problem on the wall but the mirrors wouldn't be directly over the sinks. This is where the problems lies. I will measure it again and see if I can make something happen. Does anyone have any photos of individual light fixtures over two separate mirrors? I'm hoping that if this is what I have to go with that i'll still be able to achieve the look i'm going for.
