Shared Shower - Privacy but Openness

We have designed a unique bathroom arrangement for our two daughters who are 9 and 11. There are two side by side bathrooms, each with a vanity and toilet, with a shared shower (5 by 5) in between them (each will have an entrance from their bathroom). This will allow them to get ready in the morning without having to share a sink, mirror or toilet.

We have done some gorgeous tile work in the shower stall, and now are trying to figure out how to give the two girls privacy while they're in the shower, but not to close the whole shower off.

We're thinking that we might do a fixed textured (or opaque) glass panel about 3 feet long, with a 2 foot opening (no door) at the end of the shower on each side so the girls can enter that way. We're hoping that will be wide enough to block the water splashing out, but I'm not sure how small we can get away with the opening being.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would sure appreciate your thoughts, especially if someone has done something similar!
