Christmas 2009 Decs.

I think I'm done other than fluffing and replacing ribbon & ornaments every time the boys decide to move them!

I created an album in Photobucket since I took so many shots. I hope I did it right. I haven't played around with it much before.

I love my Hoosier cabinet this year! I had gotten the X-Wide ribbon for it last year, but didn't use it until this year. I really fell in love with the lime green & red combo & used that to build on. I found lots of neat things at Cracker Barrel (Can't wait until they have another markdown!) & Dollar General to use.

Our tree is such a hodgepodge of ornaments. I like everything from Radko blown glass, to Lenox snowflakes, to more simple ornaments. I find I like whimsical and traditional, too. Maybe someday I'll do a themed tree, but I'm happy with how it looks with the various styles. Most of the ornaments are snowmen or Santas. I do like those 2 the best.

The cute little Alpine Tree was a $2.99 find my mom made last year from Hobbly Lobby after Christmas.

Now I need to put away boxes and get out our Christmas dishes. Oh, and do some laundry!

You have some darling snowmen and santas Cindy. Everything is looking so festive. It's allot of work, but so fun to get to look at and enjoy such pretty and fun treasures. Thanks for sharing with us. Luvs

I loved your album, Cindy. Right from the first photo,where you even wrapped your soap so prettily! The tree topper is really neat. Did you make it? And that red-green plaid ribbon you used on the cabinet is great.
You've got some really cute Santas and Snowmen!
I know what you mean about liking so many kinds of ornaments. I have a lot of the shiny brite-Radko types, and then traditional ones, and just plain cute ones, and of course horse ones. LOL. Ornaments are just irresistible I think. I know I can't use them all either.
But I don't think I have too many of them, I just don't have enough trees! LOL
Bet you feel the same.

Received my package today...well at least I believe it was from this swap. Not quite sure cause no communication inside and no return address. Received back 10 of my own pkgs... I would need a LOT more information. Warm or cold? USA or not? Any kids? If so, how old? How long? What activities will people want to do? What is the budget? Any physical attributes to consider besides Mom with asthma? If I was in a scuba mood, I'd go to Costa Rica, Mexico, Belize, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean... Unless I was in a skiing mood, in which case I'd go to British Columbia Canada, Salt Lake City, California, Jackson Hole, or the Rockies. Of course, Christmas in Germany or any other of the Old World countries would be awesome. I hear Quebec is lovely that time of year.

Cindy, Your decorations look great. Love your ribbon you bought last year. Your mom did great with finding your alpine tree at such a good price. It will be fun to have and add to every year.

What I loved the most was your tree topper. How fun. When I was shopping last weekend I seen some spiral thingys and wanted them but decided I would try to wait until after Christmas in hopes.

I like how your Hoosier came out with the ribbon decoration..that's a nice idea.
Your mom picked up a great deal for you with the Alpine tree...I've always wanted one.
You have so many cute snowmen and santa decorations.
I like your GM's S&Ps..they are so nostaltic.
I'm like you, I like to mix ornaments on the tree.
Seems to be more interesting to look at.
You did such a great job...I'm sure your boys are so excited to see it all and know that Santa is coming soon. TFS

Your home is lovely. I love all of your decorations. The lamp on your bathroom counter is sooo cute. I also love the wrapped soap.

The ribbon on the Hoosier is the "icing on the cake". What a wonderful idea.

I know exactly what you mean about boys re-arranging your decorations. My Grandsons were here for dinner night before last and the 6 year old went in and moved "His" decorations around on my tree. When the 12 year old told him he had better leave my tree alone that I was going to 'get' him, he replied, "They are MY ornaments and I need to move them up on the tree so people can see them better!!" I had to laugh, but now I have to go re-arrange to fill the hole he left!! LOL

I wish my house was ready for Christmas. I will probably just decorate my mantel, hang my wreath, and put out the nativity scenes and call it done. (The tree is up already.)

I seem to be late for the party on every Holiday this year!

cindylou..your Hoosier cupboard is to die for! Oh, it looks so festive with the red & white color scheme ...love those trees on top & just everything you did with it!

Very nice tour ... TFS your pics...your rustic looking Santa's are wonderful! You have been busy! Very cute!
