More Woodland Decorations

I tweaked the top of the roll top desk. I removed the mercury glass candle holders. Not sure why I put them there to begin with. Added birch log candle holders, a rustic tree and wooden santa. The pinecone bird was a find at Walmart this year. I only bought one but may buy a few more if they still have them next time I go.

Heres a close up of the pinecone bird.

These are the brass deer a DF gave us displayed on one of our vintage sewing machines.

The other vintage sewing machine is decorated with past Christmas pictures of DGD. I know I still have another figurine like this bear reading but haven't came across it. When I do, I'll add it to this display.

The work is done so off to bed I go. TIA for looking and I hope you enjoy a little Holiday decor.

Those big brass deer are really neat. And once again, everything looks really wonderful in these vignettes. That old sewing machine is a favorite of mine in your house.

Also lower ceilings much easier to heat. But in the summer, kind of stifling, but low ceilings popular in cooler climates anyway. In the hotter climates they went for breezy, the classic "shotgun" house with maximum ventilation, bare surfaces because of high humidity, etc. Ya know, ye olde "farmhouse" style. Perfectly fine in the right setting, but I find it unbearable here in the cold north where the same palette is playing outside as inside for much of the year. And one of the last things you want to try and heat is a whole "open concept" if you're not using the space most of the time. Cozy works when it is damp and bleak outside, so curl up by the fire and have a spot of tea. Ya can't fill up one of those 12 ft. ceiling houses very easily with bodies and animals to warm it up. Ask me how I know . . . but it's cooler in the summer as all the heat rises up around the ceiling and you can open the windows at night to let in the cooler air . . .

Oh I love the Woodland on top of the roll top desk! ...the Santa's are wonderful as is the log candleholders & your ribbon/flower/garland decor there! Lookin' good ...I also have some lil' woodland birds...not pinecones like that ...but they just add a special 'cute' to Woodlands! So love this!

The brass deer are gorgeous on the old treadle...they are so fun to decorate & I love both of yours...sharing Christmas memory pics is the best! Everything is lookin' good! TFS, punk! Jeanne S.

I have access to alot of pinecones but not sure
mine would be this cute.

Nana, I would love you to come by and see this in
person. Maybe one day we can all meet some where.
I'd be the host if all of you like clean and don't
need the fancy home.

Jeanne, talking about birds, I have one that
someone carved I should be using with this. I've
sure grown to love birds since coming here. Your
pictures of them are the best! I wanted to set up
DGD's pictures on my secretary but didn't have
enough of the right sizes and frames to pull it off.
I loved MM's sons pics in the china cab. Will have
to try that for her BDay.

Jane, I was just about to call out and make sure you
was feeling alright. Funny how we all think of Jeanne
when it comes to Woodland, Karen when it's
Purple and Luvs when it comes to Acorns.

I had planned on putting the brass deer on the roll
top desk but they didn't look right. More than likely it was
me in a hurry to get things out. I did go to bed a little
earlier for me last night. The only problem with that was
I got up earlier too.LOL

Thanks so much for all the sweet comments ladies. This
is so fun with all the posts right now. I'll comment
when I have time but know I appreciate all of them even

Fabulous job as always Punk.
I'm loving the little pine cone bird. Pretty sure I couldn't mimic that no matter how hard I tried. LOL
The big brass deer are a great set and I think they fit nicely right where they are at.
