Do you still need this? Open IE, in the top menu bar to the right of view; click Favorites. While pointing the mouse to the 1st name listed, right click & then select sort by name near the bottom of the drop down window. What I usually do is make folders in the "Links" entry for my favorite sites. I have a folder for Computer, Forums, House. My most used links go there. I set IE & Firefox to either open with about 10 different sites or one browser I used in XP called Crazy Browser had an option to load the last open tabs. I'm on Vista now and haven't loaded Crazy Browser on it yet. Boy do I miss it.

Happymommy, I'm not sure what era of "old" you are trying to replicate. We also are doing new/old and pretending that the "original" part of the house predated indoor plumbing. This has given us the freedom to have our "renovated" house with bathrooms in the era of our choice. The mudroom bath falls into this category and has slate floors (as does the laundry room and actual mudroom entryway) but 6" x 6" tile on the shower walls. In my mind this is the "newest" bathroom in the house. The master bath is in the "new" wing of the house that we are pretending was added in the early 20th century but renovated at a later date. We are using subway tile in this one but with an inset mini-brick border. In general we have been trying not to be period accurate completely because I would have to give up my thermostatic valves in the bathrooms and start cooking in a wood burning fireplace. Even historic homes have to be updated for modern convenience and I'm trying to pick the era's that I like for each bathroom. Sorry I can't help with backsplash ideas since I'm going to wait until all my countertops are picked before working on this. Hope this helps just to give you a frame of reference on what you want to do.

I just wandered over from the Kitchen and Bath forums to research this same question! We just took up the carpet and vinyl in the kitchen, dining, family, and living rooms as a part of a big remodel. Our GC steered us towards site built because he doesn't like the grooves in pre-finished and said that a lot of the pre-finished floors he's quoted end up costing almost the same as a site-built once you add everything up. He also said that it's not as easy to replace damaged boards as it seems. I was leaning towards site-built, but now I want to make sure I'm making the right decision. I'm planning on visiting some flooring stores this afternoon if the kids cooperate. I've heard good things about Kentwood's pre-finished. Let us know what you decide!

Real simple. SEER don't mean squat. It can be adjusted with a pencil eraser. The feds have enjoined several big manufacturers from lying about the SEER of a system. Since no one cares about what SEER means, it is easy to dupe the public. Since most HVAC guys don't have a clue, they are not really lying when they say higher SEER saves money. They are just repeating what is claimed by manufacturers.
