Thanksgiving Table

We will not be home for Thanksgiving. We will be spending the day with hubs' family about an hour away. But, that doesn't mean I have to leave the table unadorned now does it? Nopenopenope!

Here you can see I used the WalMart wooden chargers. Most of the place setting came from the Dollar Tree.

I used a TS mirror (that I had painted white earlier this year) to jump start the centerpiece.

I hope all of my friends here have a safe and happy holiday!

maxi ... I love the burlap fabric placemats...I noticed those right away! And the wood charger ... I only have 1 of those so far ...they were gone last yr when I found where Holiday-ers were getting them! (mine is from GS) LOL!

Anyway, the plates are so pretty & I am loving the 'leaf' ones w/diff colors, shapes, textures! But then, you showed your centerpc! Wow, that is quite beautiful ...I love how you painted the mirror & all the 'whites'...nice collection there & the leaf S&P shakers, too! And your table....just so beautiful w/o a t'cloth ...napkin colors are pretty w/those dinner plates, too!

Enjoy your 'away' Tksgvg...& your table will serve you until you're ready for Christmas/Winter decor! TFS! Jeanne S.

maxi, I love your table. The Dollar Tree leaf plates look so nice with the brown chargers and burlap place mats.
The centerpiece is so elegant with the white pumpkins and the mirror you painted.

Very pretty table Kathe. It's very festive looking with all the colorful gourds. The tablecloth sets off your dishes and beautiful flatware. (DH is a Keeper). I like the color combination of the green and amber glassware and I think the Pier 1 napkin rings add a nice festive touch too. Looks like you're all set to enjoy the Holiday with your family. TY :). Punk: The plates are one of my favorite sets. They aren't common round for one. They have grapes on them and little indentions for a condiment cup or small teacup. They are really old (though I'm not sure how old) and belonged to my MILs Mother. She started out with a set of 12 but by the time they "survived" 7 children, multiple grandchildren and were gifted to me , there are 10 left.

Thanks everyone. Sunny, my stemware is gold. They were a wedding gift, more than 50 years ago. Creek, My tablecloth a rust color in real life. Looks good as orange though LOL. Karen, here is a pic of my mantel, I kept it simple. I think it looks better that way in this room, and no matter how hard I try I can never get it to look like some of the beautifully decorated ones I see. Punk...Just imagine all the trouble we would get into if I moved closer! I don't think we'd get Anything done - except cause trouble!! lol I'm looking forward to seeing what you paint...it's been awhile since you've done that and I always enjoy what you do. I know your schedule has become so hectic for quite awhile, that painting is probably a 'wind down' and mental break to get back on track. I know when I'm at my busiest, I come on here for my 'mental' break. It helps me from getting too overwhelmed. Then, I go back and tackel another job. My DGSon convinced DH to do a different layout this year on his village. They are having way too much fun with it..but that's good, just as long as everything is put away in time for me to clean for Thurs and the party. I'm with you on 'The More the Merrier'..I love having a full house for the holidays. It's just a shame that everyone lives so far away that those family get togethers are now few and far between. Kath, I love this setting. Jeanne and Nana summed it up perfectly with my thoughts. I like the two different napkin colors you used. Really tied this table together nice.

That turned out really pretty. Love your plates with the acorns and leaves and the burlap really gives it nice texture. Very pretty idea using the mirror with your white pumpkins. Know you will enjoy looking at this before and after Thanksgiving. Have a happy one. Luvs

Maxi...love your table setting and LOVE how you put together your CP - very pretty arrangement with the white pumpkins on the mirror.
It's funny how many of us share the same things from DT and Walmart..yet we all seem to come up with different ideas and looks with them. So nice to see all the variartions of the same thing!!

It looks lovely, Kathe! The centerpiece came out great!
We are not having Tgiving here, and we have painting going on, so I didn't do a table. Everything is piled all over. He should finish by Sat so I can start on Christmas!
