I haven't gotten into Pinterest too much, Purplemoon ... it is wonderful, I know ... I've joined now ...but haven't looked much except at your stuff you share here. With so much available & so easily available with Facebook & Twitter, I can see why this forum has slowed down... hoping for the best ... would love to see a revival here. ~~Jeanne

Love all those pretty pics and so much decorating talent went into all those creations. I never quite got the idea of doing the upside down trees, pretty but make me want to bend over to look at them! lol

Thanks Everyone, and I appreciate those who follow me a lot. Always remember you can pick and choose which boards to follow. Since I have 89 of them, LOL, I'm sure not all would interest everyone.

Several of our gang have Pinterest boards......
Marlene, Janet, Kay-Luvs, Jeanne now and Mary and Triplet. Maybe others I don't know about do too.

Mary, not sure how it works, but when I open Pinterest ALL I see are the new pins that people I follow have pinned. I guess somewhere in your settings you can get that page and then bookmark it to always come up. (I go to my own page of boards from that one). And when I want to look at others I don't follow, I head for the Pinterest index or type something in the search box.

Jeanne, I hope this Forum picks up good for Christmas as that is our biggest time here. I'll try to be here more, I just haven't been decorating so nothing really to share with all of you.

This morning I dragged my BIG collection of Christmas decorating books and magazines up from the basement. I used to be a decorating magazine addict, but in the last couple of years I've pretty much dropped the habit (though I still keep the old ones). There's less content with more ads and the cost has gone way up. But mainly, there's just so much wonderful free stuff available on line between Pinterest and blogs. I'm not that well versed in navigating them, but can still lose myself for hours just following links.

I agree, lovesummer. Magazine ads seem to have taken over content. So disappointing. I am really thankful for this forum and places like Pinterest, and groups on FB to see pictures of holiday decor. I am so addicted to pictures it's ridiculous.
Its neat you have a collection you're keeping of Christmas books and magazines, you'll never tire of looking of those past issues I'm sure. The old issues are probably the best now anyway.

Ilovesummer, we are kindred spirits for sure! I have quite a collection of Christmas decorating/crafts books and several older magazines too! I enjoy pulling them out each year and reviewing the folded corner pages for things I liked and hoped to make someday! lol

It is so sad that the magazines now have gotten so expensive. I'm not apt to pay $9.99 or more for a "throw away" magazine that is more ads than anything else. Somebody must be buying them though!
