Oooh, nice snowmen stuff. Maybe some red ornaments on the candle holder slots since you are doing red and gold? I am not that imaginative, sorry. But I really like the tree.

Luvs, You had a very successful shopping day. I love those square snowman plates especially. Is your little cow a butter dish? That is cute, cute. I like Mo's idea of putting ornaments on the tree and maybe some greenery and ribbon winding through it. Can't wait to see what you do with it all.

If you don't want to use candles, could you hot glue glitzy Christmas balls on top of each candle holder? Than you could decorate the tree any way you wanted. If you do want the candles, you could take Christmas pics, wrapping each around the candle holders so that each candle would have its own ring.

I really like that little tree. I had the same thought as
Mo and Blue, ornaments would look great I think. Just turn them upside down the "top" should sit right in the candleholder part.

Nice haul you've got there Luvs! I like Sandi's suggestion of winding greenery and ribbon on the tree with ornaments. Love the plate with the roses on it!

Thanks for the good suggestions ladies. The little cow butter dish is intended for a friend who collects cow items. Yachter, the tiny teapot is just an ornament--it looks like a cinnamon roll with icing dripping on it. The bell has little raised roses on it--not sure why I thought I needed it--but it was cute! Dreamgoddess, I can't seem to leave a rose plate behind! LOL

Pasula, This is book #10 in that Spirit of Christmas series. I really need to find #1 so I will have 1-10 now. It has been fun hunting for them. I really need to find out how many were printed in that series so I know whether to watch for more or not.

Kathleen, you can't tell in my lousy picture, but the two little plates are by Debbie Mumm and guess what???? They have acorns in the design! That's mainly why I bought them! Wish they would have had four instead of only two.

Mo, Sandi, Blue and Karen, I like your idea of using ornaments instead of the candles on that little tree. When I drag all my Christmas decs out, I will have to play with it. Just couldn't leave it behind at only $1.99 plus 20% off!

It is almost as fun sharing pics of my "treasures" with all of you as it was hunting for them. ;o)

You did really well Luvs..... As the others have said, I can just see the "tree" with a glitzy bow on top and streamers of the ribbon running down and around (do you need me to send you one?????).... ornaments upside down in the candle cups, and a billow of goldy sheer fabric or angel hair to sit it on....
All the rest are "good things" as well, and of course anything with roses just can't be left behind! ;^)

Luvs, I just LOVE those TS too~you'll definitely get your use out of the plates. You can send the little gold tree to me and you won't have to think about how to decorate it. LOL I've only been to Savers in Austin, and found a few things. I'll be venturing out to more TS after the holidays. ;o)

Luvs, I googled the books, and saw some on Amazon. According to one thing I read, the 20th Anniversary edition was published in July 06. So if they are still publishing it, then might be #22 out this year.

You can probably find #1 online. I didn't have a chance to look yet. I'm thinking I paid too much for the one I bought the other evening tho, the '93 one. I'm seeing it cheaper several places.
