Any issues using frosted glass tile?

I read the label on the KaBoom cleaning product that I've seen recommeded here and it says not to use it on frosted glass. I'm looking at two different tiles, one by Art Glass and another by Zuma, both of which seem to be "frosted glass". Anyone know why the Kaboom cleaner shouldn't be used on such a surface? Also, I'm wondering if there are other issues to be aware of with frosted glass tile in a shower. (I'd hate to create a cleaning nightmare for myself.)

I just had Lunada Bay/Oceanside Glass tile installed in a bath. The website says the tile "cleans easily using ph balanced soap and water or mild tile cleaners." I don't know if Kaboom is PH balanced or considered mild? I am going to ask the tile shop I purchased from what they recommend to clean it.

Maredog - I couldn't find "Oceanside" on Lunada Bay's website though I did see some beautiful tile. Does your glass tile have a frosted sruface, like it's been sandblasted? It's that frosted surface I'm wondering about.

My sister recently put up glass mosaic tiles for her backsplash. She said they aren't hard to keep clean, but when she makes something really messy like homemade marinara sauce or bacon where it scan splatter, she tapes up a sheet of wax paper behind her stove so she doesn't get the mess on her tiles. She said the grout is a bit harder to keep clean, probably b/c there is so much of it.

I've seen some really cool great looking sheet glass backsplashes on this forum. You could think about that instead of tile, since you are going contemporary/modern, hate seams and will have lots of brick mortar lines competing with tile grout lines... the clean unbroken look of sheet glass might be nice. Can't comment on Corian in a kitchen, but we've had it on our main bath vanity counter for about 12 years. It is a light color and we've had no problems with it in the bath. I know someone will comment here who does have it in the kitchen. Your kitchen plans sound very interesting with the brick wall and the shelf just above countertop height. Oh man. Was this his first time using glass tile?? He should have sealed the grout only (glass is non-porous) with an appropriate applicator. It's time consuming to do it properly, but this is why you (or the people you hire) don't (shouldn't) cut corners. There is one non-toxic product that might help. He can (and I mean he, not you) try this stuff, made to scrub off sealer from tile. I don't know whether it will work, but I hope so. Removing glass tile is not easy (ask me how I know - better yet, ask me about the surgery I had on my right hand to remove a shard of glass that lodged in my tendon). If it does work, he will then have to seal the grout correctly. Good luck! Here is a link that might be useful: AquaMix

Really do appreciate the advice, but the grout will be white. I've given thought to using a gray, but it just looks too "eh" for me. The contrasting look is why I chose gray tile in the first place. I love it. I don't care for matching the tile color with the grout - at least not for the type of tile that I have. And for the record, it is a very medium-gray. I had samples of darker gray and lighter too, both, when I was deciding on the tile. The medium was just right.

It is a frosted glass. If you look at the Lunada website under glass tiles, it is called Old Fashioned Silk. I think Oceanside owns Lunada. They have some beautiful tiles but very pricey!
