How do I email one page of doc?

I cannot figure out how to email just one page, or a section, of a Word document. I have been creating a new Word doc, copying the info, and sending that. But that is a cumbersome process. There must be a simpler way. I use Outlook Express. Thanks for any help.

You do not mention which flavour of Word you use but if it is 2000 or later you have an icon to click to send the document as an email. It is the 4th icon from the left between the 'Save' and 'Print' icons on the default settings for Word 2000 and 2003 unless you have re-arranged your icons

Based on that I would create my .doc File and save it. Then delete which parts you do not want to send, add your salutations and send the rest. Remember not to save the document after or you will overwrite the original complete document. I hope that makes sense

I have been creating a new Word doc, copying the info, and sending that. But that is a cumbersome process.

How are you coping? Are you draging your pointer over the text to highlight it and than right clicking it and clicking Copy? You would than right click your email and click paste.
You can also copy and paste the part you want to a new page and save it to your Documents. After this you open your
Outlook Express for create email and click your open email page and than at the top click on Insert - than click
Text from File - go to My Documents and Select the file you saved to be sent latter.
Be sure and use select not open for the file you want.
When you click select your file will transfer to your open email.

If you add your apostrophes and quotes right in your exchange page, they should come out fine in the forum. If you copy and paste your trade list from MSWord with any symbols or characters other than alpha letters, they appear as funky symbols in the forum. If you use ' ; : + " in the exchange page, that's how they'll look when you submit your changes. Those same symbols copied over from MS Word will look odd. I don't know the techie term for it but I think it has something to do with the symbol font style not translating from one to the other.

After you highlight the text, right click you mouse and click on "copy". Then open your word processing program - Word or Notepad or Wordpad or Works, or whatever you use. Once that's open, place the cursor on the blank page and right click the mouse, and click on "Paste". You can then save it as a text or doc. file giving it any name you want. Once you save it you can "select all" and make the font larger to make it easier to read, add notes, make changes, etc, and save it again. I save my recipes on my computer, and only print when I'm going to use it, otherwise I'd have a million recipes lying around the kitchen with no way to find what I want.

I think that you have to start a thread to get the responses sent to your e-mail address. If you are responding to someone else's thread - you don't get an e-mail response. No, as of recently, both the OP and those making replies can check the box to have emails sent to them. I see below the post a follow-up box where it says A copy of further followups will be emailed to this poster. Check here if you would like post replies emailed to you. Please note that you must enable this feature on your Preferences page by checking off 'Allow other users to send you email'. island, I've found that the emails are not sent instantly, and often come through hours later. Sometimes there will be several email replies come into my email at the same time, though they had been posted at different times. I've checked the box now to get follow-ups so will report back when I get reply emails. Sue

I have a Netgear router and did not get this email. I had a big Netgear experience today when we switched from Spectrum to ATT for internet. One laptop recognized Netgear; the other laptop didn't and went on ATT. Both cell phones recognized Netgear. My chromecast won't work with either. And the crazy one is 2 of my 3 Kindle fires wouldn't recognize Netgear and went on ATT, but one is still on Netgear. Anyway, I'm mostly on Netgear and DIDN'T get this email!

Sorry--I have Word 2000. I don't want to create a new doc--and fear deleting 40 pgs so don't want to use that method. I tried this, based on your advice, and it worked:

1--Create email

2--Open doc

3--Highlight part I want to put in email

4--Click "copy"

5--Click "paste" in email

6--Send

Success--and thank you!
