No closet here. But (not butt, lol) if the door is open it blocks the view of the toilet so some privacy if you needed to go quick but if the door is shut well then privacy there too. If one is in the shower the other can be using the potty with privacy as well. I think it will work fine. I like the set up of the pics posted above. Ours is similar but a full wall instead of a pony wall, just no door to close. Heck I'm going to just try to keep the KIDS from using our bathroom. Why does that always happen? Old house had a 1/2 bath and a hall bath and a master bath and they STILL used our bathroom. You have to pass by BOTH of the other bathrooms to get to ours and still there those buggers are in ours doing their business! ???

Depends on what's on the other side of the window. Since this is tagged as remodelling, are you trying to decide whether to add a window that doesn't exist? Or remove a window that's already there? I don't think there's enough pros or cons to warrant the cost of adding or removing a window. Just make do with what's there. Or is this something that is being built from scratch?

@tfitz1006 Did you mean closet, and not shower? We use the closet for jackets, shoes, backpacks, etc. It's a powder bathroom, so no shower at all. You can see the powder room here. The top side is the staircase along the full length. The right side is the garage. The bottom side is the hallway running from the garage to the foyer. The left side is the main floor closet which is tiny because I'm pretty sure there is a wet wall with plumbing behind it where the hot water pipes run from the water heater into the slab for the kitchen plumbing. The powder room is completely boxed in. About the only thing you could do is a small built-in lower cabinet that goes into the slanted area under the stairs, but because the doorway is only 2' and so cramped, it would be more difficult to access, and it allows us to store larger items out of the way in the garage. Given how hard it would be to bend over to access it in the cramped space, this would not be worth the money it would cost. We chose to put our money into the master bathroom and kitchen instead, but this was sort of rolled into it when we learned the kitchen flooring had an issue mid-remodel, and had to pick a floor tile that worked with our old tile, which we weren't going to replace because it covered so much area, including the bathroom. We replaced all of the old tile that was connected with new tile, but we had planned to do the powder room at later date until that necessitated removing the toilet and sink anyway... Got to love the snowballing of a remodel, right?

"I wonder why so many Pros on Houzz hate toilet rooms," I thought to myself, as I flushed the toilet in mine, turned the fan on and closed the door to prevent any possible smell from escaping since my husband was in the shower at the same time. I washed my hands in the double sink vanity with drop-down makeup table before walking across the LVP floor to my master closet inside the master bath to get dressed, then exited through the barn door separating the master bath and bedroom. I entered the kitchen and stood at the stainless steel double-bowl farmhouse sink in the island with quartz countertops to wash the breakfast dishes my kids used while they watched the TV above the fireplace in the 17-foot vaulted great room. "I don't know," I ruminated. "But maybe I should have added a window to the toilet room. I have an idea - I'll post my houseplans on Houzz and ask."
