HP windows vista need a free pop up blocker what is my best choice thanks Jackie

If you mean for internet browsing use, it's in the browser. For a true pop-up blocker, google that with your browser name, like

pop up blocker firefox.

If you're interested in an ad blocker, same approach

pop up ads are very annoying and you can stop them with what snidely said. Keep in mind that *sometimes* you will need to disable it for certain websites, e.g. they are not always bad, just most of the time.

I know what you mean about the pop ups. They drive me insane also and have had me running from this forum on many occasions. I wish they wouldn't have them all over the place. Glad to see you back and posting anyway. Nice photos too. Not really any blooms for me yet, I'm a lot further north though and things have been a bit behind with everything due to our extended winter this year. Do you still have your echinopsis hybrids? I have sown a whole host of hybrid cross seeds a few weeks ago and am growing on seedlings from last year. In a couple of years, I might see the first of them flower. Toni-Marie

Hi michael_so_fl, Are you in Desktop mode ?? Java will only work in Desktop mode in Windows 8 not in Start screen. Microsoft Windows 8 does not support plug-ins in the Start screen and therefore Java will not run in the Start screen. You will have to switch to the Desktop screen to run Java. Joe

Just depress your Ctrl key when you click for the site. It disables popup blocker for that moment. I usually forget to turn the blocker back on, so this way I don't have to turn it off.

"It is a shame that I can not block this BS" But you can block it with firefox as we've been saying. Just install it and see. You MUST install NoScript and ADblock plus from the tools/add-ons menu and you're good to go. I can't imagine allowing that crap either. to block ads and pop ups while browsing use ad blocker plus extension. It even blocks ads on youtube. Search for it on extensions in firefox or chrome
